It's obviously extremely embarrassing for someone of Kobe's stature, even as a player in his twilight, to be playing on a joke of a team while all the other league stars are playing meaningful games on contending teams.
Kobe in particular is very very sensitive about his mythical image, and to be a legend playing alongside 10-day contract guys a full generation youngr than him on a team that's a punchline... Well obviously he wasnt about to be a part of that this year just like he wasnt last year.
But he still has one more year to collect another 24 million.
Do you actually see him playing on a TERRIBLE Lakers team next year? Or do you think he'll just be 'hurt' again and collect dem chex?

This is easily the worst roster in the league.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if they dump everyone except Clarkson and Randle (and Kobe.)
The Lakers have cap space to sign non d leagues and push for a 10th seed .
Not joking. I honestly think that this is what they will do. Of course Laker fans will claim that they have a playoff squad before the season starts, but the West is too strong right now (OKC isnt in the playoffs this year) to have any real expectations for the team.

I have long claimed that there isn't a college team out there that could beat an NBA team...but the Lakers are the one exception. I think U-Conn's team could beat them...

Stop pretending like the Knicks aren't in the league, show some respect.

Nah, at this stage even a D-League roster may be too above what Kobes talent deserves.
You seem like a very sad individual posting the same shit across your 20+ alts..

Kobe will play until his body fails him again.
It's sad that he's gone Tiger status in terms of falling off a cliff health-wise.

It's a shame we won't be getting the Lakers pick this year in the 1st round since it's top 5 protected(most likely), but we probably will next season since it's just top 3 protected. With Randle coming back and Kobe and Clarkson, the lakers will out of the bottom 3, but still within the bottom 10 in the league.

i can see the Lakers trading all there young assets (Clarkson, Randle, 1st rounder) during the off-season.

Sixers should trade all future assets for experienced players. It's time to make a run, hopefully the tank is over after this season.
