View Full Version : Lebron's isn't slim enough to make quick decisions

.
He's a wide load, so he has to wait for a big enough driving lane - fortunately, today's spacing provides the wide lanes to minimize that Lebron-ball wait time:

However, if Lebron faced the same spot with NO spacing, he wouldn't be able to fit in there and attack immediately like other wing players who have with slimmer, more optimal physiques.

Lebron-ball already takes fairly long to act in today's spacing, but he'd take even longer with no-spacing and the smaller driving/passing lanes of previous eras.. Lebron would've taken longer than Barkley..

This is a new one tho, it should be interesting.

I never thought that the reason he didn't make quicker decisions was due to his size. I just thought it was due to him not reading shit fast enough and reacting. But Im all ears.

I do agree that he's not slim enough to be as explosive as say MJ, Wade, Bean and a few others. He uses power more than anything, so he can't slither and shift as well as they could. He can't beat doubles as quickly as they could.

So decision making is dependent on size? Whoa. I always chalked it up to mentality. Lebron reads the floor differently for sure. According to you what did Mj have to read lol there were 4 or 5 guys in the paint every possession. All that was necessary was navigation efficiency into a chest to chest off 2 feet.....

MJ thread the needle in spots Lebron would never fit or had the acumen/skills to maneuver - Lebron would have to pull it back out and pass up these opportunities:

You might want to ask Ewing, Olajuwon, Robinson, Mutombo, Mourning, and Shaq about that.

MJ had the optimal slim physique, the acumen, and skill to make quick decisions - he could attack whenever he wanted.

Always loved that move against Seattle. Got tripped up (as he also did in the Cleveland clip), regained his balance, and still scored in spectacular fashion.

3ball, come on dude, just face it, Jordan is a mini Lebron or Lebron lite...

Lebron is bigger, faster, stronger http://www.rsvlts.com/2013/05/17/5-reasons-why-lebron-james-is-a-true-to-life-x-man/

Lebron is a better shooter, rebounder, passer and has more versatile defense, is more unselfish, doesnt chuck/shotjack like MJ did, hence makes more correct plays, plays also in a more evolved basketball era with less poss. per game & better competition & individual rivals.....

If he had those Jordan supporting casts, that competition and play with that eras pace/poss.pg. he would averaged 30++ point triple doubles and get 8+ mvps, 8+ rings/fmvps....

(let me troll 3ball in peace god damnit lol)

It's not LeBron's muscle that slows him down, it's his heavy c0ck. Fortunately for MJ, he had a light weight c0ck, allowing him to make quick decisions.

Agreed.

All basketball players on all levels should stop lifting and their goal should be to obtain a Reggie Miller type of build.

I will help you get the memo out. I'll contact the NBA coaches, and you can contact the NCAA coaches.

If Lebron was guarded by Craig Elho

He'd get his normal 26-28 PPG - Lebron doesn't adjust his game to the situation - he plays it safe.

Under Lebron-ball, it's actually bad for Lebron to average 40 PPG like MJ did against Ron Harper and Ehlo.

Instead, as the 2014 Finals demonstrated, Lebron's teammates must produce enough to win assuming 28 PPG from Lebron - if they can't do this, the team is ****ed because it's not part of Lebron-ball for him to make up with gap by taking over and averaging 40 PPG.. other than a 1-off occurance, he's never done it - it's far from typical.. it would be the definition of atypical actually, if he were to do it.
