His dropoff since injury has been in the severe range to where he's not even close to a top 10 PG.

Yeah pretty much. He must think he's curry out there the way he jacks up 3s. His ship for still being a superstar has sailed even though people won't admit it.

Second game back...and while his shooting wasn't great he was better and had more impact than dragic when they were both on the floor.

:biggums:
Of course he was...
Not a good playmaker, dumb as bricks, and can't shoot worth shit.
Yes, Derrick WAS all athleticism. Now he's just a really really bad basketball player who only gets PT because of reputation.

He had an ACL tear which is a serious injury, and I dont know what Derrick Rose you have been watching but he is still athletic. :confusedshrug:
It doesnt help that Thibs allows him to play like a dumbass.

"Not even close to top 10"? You're exaggerating a bit much there buddy. Dude still averages 18 and 5. Fringe all-star numbers. He has been very inconsistent and has been trying to find his rhythm in this very different Bulls team. It has been a struggle no doubt, but I still think he's a top 10 PG in this league. Once he gets into a flow and can remain healthy (god willing), I'm confident that MVP-lite Rose can emerge.

Athleticism and Touch. His split second decision making was at an elite level his MVP season.

Sorry but this is just wrong. He was nowhere near a top 10 pg this season. 18 5 on 40 fg %, crap defense and missing half a season is not anywhere near "fringe all star".
And sorry to burst your bubble but Rose won't be anywhere near Mvp level again. Hell i don't even expect him to play more than 60 games a season from here on out.

Admittedly this is all wishful thinking on my part because I'm a huge DRose fan. I was just happy to see him out there playing at high level. He's been very polarizing this season, and has been hurt a lot, but hopefully he can build off of this season (and the upcoming playoffs) and see if he can improve next year.

Ever since the new rules on testing He can't Get Healthy anymore. Strange :confusedshrug:

Can he get a few games to play in from yet another injury before the jury comes out?
So unnecessary - you will see what Rose is about during the playoffs, very soon. Then there will be no doubt as to where he is at.
Lotta players need a season to get back to form anyhow so I will hold out hope for next year regardless.

How do you explain Westbrook coming back even better. :oldlol:
Has nothing to do with testing, Thibs just destroyed his knees in 2012.

gerald green and James White are all athleticism, never amounted to anything
DRose won MVP, regardless of how you feel about its validity
you dont win MVP or get consideration off pure athleticism
this boards IQ is the equivalent of a tree stump

They test for exotic designer type HGH/Steroid drugs in the NBA. Stuff you find distributed in major cities like Miami, New York, Chicago. Haven't thought to test for the crude middle american agricultural/cattle farm hormone shit yet. Westbrook is twice daily infused with compounds intended to triple the size of corn, beef up cattle and heal wounded horses. Effective, but it has disfigured him quite a bit.

some of you guys talk as if youve never even seen rose play. this guy does the dream shake on a fast break and hes "all athleticism", that takes skill and talent, not just muscle.
now someone like westbrook is all athleticism and little talent.

Then how come the head of the Olympics and WADA both said NBA players do NOT get tested for ANY of that?

Ummm, no. Rose actually has a pretty good midrange and finishing game; that creativity not relent on his athleticism.

Really??? When has Rose ever rushed being healthy? Or came back early better and with more aggression. What are you saying?
You can tell all the guys here who have no idea of what it is to play ball at all. Do you really think a guy a guy six one could get MVP on athleticism alone? When HOFers, Kobe, Dirk, Wade, Duncan, KG, CP3 were all near their prime or in it.

I was just joking relax
Rose has a lot of skill, as any point guard in the NBA HAS to have to even be in the NBA.
Whether or not he will ever be as effective as his MVP season, is yet to be seen, I don't know if he can bounce back to that level or not but even if he doesn't even if he's half as good that's still good enough to continue an NBA career as a serviceable guard.
