Facing the Knicks in the finals was such a joke for the Spurs. They should have lent the Knicks a few players to make it a fair series.

Knicks dealt the Spurs their only road loss in the 99 playoffs. And Ewing got hurt so he didn't play in the Finals, would have came in handy :confusedshrug:

The winning team had a player make an excellent shot and the best player on the floor. How asterisk?

What are you talking about? It was just a simple wideopen spotup 3pt shot that ONLY TIED THE GAME with 5-6 seconds left... after that Spurs/Parker had a perfect chance to hit a gamewinner, but Lebron stopped Parker from hitting it.... but nobody cares about that huh?
The game then went to OT, where Lebron was accountable for every single fieldgoal made.... including hitting the actual last shot that won that game 101-100.... nothing afterwards was needed except that block Bosh did on Green.... Spurs had a chance to retaliate every single time and they failed.... there was no "miracles".... it was shots & defensive stops...
...and this was only Game 6... what other miracle was there in Game 7 which WON the series? What "miracle ray allen 3" was there?
But nobody cares about that....

2012. The Heat benefited by having a core in its prime that didn't have an issue with the b2b2b's/condensed schedule.
The aging Celtics gave them a run for their money and should have won the series, but simply ran out of gas with the ridiculous scheduling of the NBA (b2bs in the playoffs... lol).
Boston wins that series under normal circumstances.

Eh, what ?
Clippers had a better record and a higher SRS, while in a tougher conference. Clippers would have been the 2 seed if they were in the East and the Knicks would have been the 5th seed in the West.
The circumstances were better for the Knicks in the playoffs than the Clippers.

Bosh missed the majority of the Pacers and Celtics series, so that point of having no issue is invalid. They didn't have normal circumstances either.
The point would be better if they played in the West against stronger competition and wouldn't be as fortunate facing a team like the Thunder or Spurs with Bosh missing so much time.

Considering that Bosh got injured in Game 1 vs the Pacers your second point would be invalid as well. Not saying that you were arguing it of course.
Interesting fact, the one game the Heat lost in the Finals, Chris Bosh didnt even start and was on minute restrictions.
Also lol at Dwayne Wade benefiting from a condensed schedule.

Bosh didn't return to the Heat lineup till Game 5 vs Boston in a bench role. I don't think the Heat would have beaten the Spurs in a conference finals if he missed that much time despite how great LeBron was playing. Then again, they very well could have on the backs of LeBron and Wade.
Facing the Thunder, Clippers, Lakers, and Spurs hypothetically in the 2nd and 3rd round just seems more challenging undermanned your 3rd best player vs the Pacers and Celtics. But these are just hypotheticals, so different circumstances could always apply.

Well im not saying they would have won necessarily, just that Bosh's injury wouldnt have happened had they played in the West.

Wade was 30 in 2012 and played great in the playoffs. Certainly didn't hinder his performance at all. Paul Pierce, on the other hand, looked dead towards the end of the ECF.
And what is this minutes restriction nonsense?
Game 1: 34 minutes
Game 2: 40 minutes
Game 3: 37 minutes
Game 4: 37 minutes
Game 5: 34 minutes
Hell, the only reason he only played 34 minutes in Game 1 was probably because Battier started in his place and led the team in scoring at halftime. :lol :lol

Wade missed 17 games in the regular season and that was the season his knees first started acting up.
Battier started all the games. Haslem played 30 minutes in game one. Notice how many minutes Wade and Lebron were playing comparatively. It's not like the Heat had backup bigs.
