His stats are the exact opposite of empty, they are actually 'foundational'.

This season has been a huge learning experience. He has played a lot of minutes(most rookies would have hit the wall or broken down), been teamed up with some straight bums (been forced to do the heavy lifting), been forced to guard a lot of top scorers, been forced to play with guys who are mailing it in (Kevin Martin I am looking at you) and been forced in general to make chicken salad out of chicken shit.

While this is good, there is risk. This team needs a drastically different attitude next season, and if the losing continues beyond three years then there will be an issue.

Next season is learning to be a star every night and to start playing to win. I think this year they aren't focused on winning, just getting guys reps.

Year three, they need to begin to contend for the 8 spot.

If in year three they are still hot trash, then those stats will start to look empty.

I think Anthony Davis is the model here, year three, the Pelicans have added a few nice pieces and are competing for the eight spot.

I look for Minny to do the same.
