It really bugs me to see some overweight people grubing at fast food places like its their last meal. Whats keeping them from exercising and cutting down on junk food? Is it true that because they are depressed with their image, they have to eat their sorrow away?! Im postive that eating healthy will sure help to shred down some fats.

Serious question looking for some intellectual answers.

Drugs are an addiction and most junkie are dependent on it. Thus your point is invalid

A lot of fat people just rolled snake eyes during the genetic lottery. Most of them have a body type that would be fucced up even if they ate nothing but celery all day...ever see the fatasses that get gastric bypass surgery? They just are fucced if they do fucced if they don't.

Hunger is a problem for us. I mean I'm not that fat, certainly don't need a gastric bypass, but I'd like to be ~50lbs lighter. And when I do diet, it's not the food that's the problem, it's the fact I'm constantly hungry because when I was overeating, I'd literally be eating until i was full. I don't know if physiologically I have a larger stomach now because of it, but I definitely struggle to fill up if I'm just eating salads with meat or steak and veg.

If I was really looking for something else to blame (I know it's my fault really), it's social stuff - drinking, eating out at restaurants. Many of my friends are at a similar weight to me, with no motivation to get lighter - so it's just easier to not lose weight.

Im so nba'd out

Your body adapts to what you give it. When I go and have a big family dinner and eat 2 portions worth of food, I feel hungrier when I go back to my normal diet for the next two days or so. Fast digesting carbs and fatty foods also really jack your hunger and stoke your bodies appetite, making you greedier overall. Becomes a vicious circle.

Dieting correctly shouldn't leave you hungry in general. Imo the problem lies in that most people swing for the fences with unsustainable goals and diets when then try and lose weight. I see people get all worked up about their weight, hit crisis point, and then jump on extreme diets where you eat less than 1000 cals a day or something like that. Some girls at work only consumed alo vera for a week.... still fat. Sustainable weight loss is slower than most people would like.

No they wouldn't. Bad genes still need bad decisions to go along with them. Travel around to some impoverished areas, there will not be a bunch of fat people hanging out.

Food shouldnt be considered as an addiction but rather a necessity to survive. But its unnecessary to fill up our hunger with excessive unhealthy food when there are healthier food available...

Dont be calling other idiot when youre the uneducated one

its because food is one of the great pleasures in life, along with sex. they're indulgent. good for you that you can be a robot to indulgent behavior but many people look forward to their meals instead of it being sustenance.

personally i know i'd look way better and be much healthier if i ate right, but i can't give up fried foods or stuff i love that tastes good which is usually bad for you(like fried chickken or buffalo wings and french fries). i've gone months eating healthy but sooner or later i start jones'n for those foods and life feels so dull without it even if i look and feel better. thats the self realization trade off i've come to grips with :pimp:

I'm sure you've heard people say, "I'm addicted to chocolate" or "I'm addicted to soda".

You don't need chocolate or soda to survive.
