No, he shot the officer. In the melee one of the officers lost his gun. The 21 year old son picked it up. They tried to get it out of the guys hands on the ground, in the struggle he shot the officer in the leg. Thus, deadly force. Whole family are a bunch of freaks the way they fought the officers if you ask me.

There needed to be better communication between dispatch and the initial officers on scene. If the first responding police feel like there is any way they will not have total and complete control over the situation. They need to stay in their cars, radio for back up and then wait until they have enough units so the large group won't even think twice about resisting. If this happens no one gets shot.


If too few of officers try to control too large of a crowd, the crowd can get ballsy and start fighting back and then in an instant the police are in a very very bad situation...this is when shots start firing and people start dying.

Some bureaucrat will come and say that the .00001% chance that a warning shot bullet could come back down and injure a random person is too great. First officers on the scene fucced up. Should of sized up the scene better before engaging a large crowd of shady people in a wallmart parking lot in the middle of the night. If the first officers waited for proper back up this would of never happened.

Actually he's right, if fired straight up. It is highly unlikely most bullets will come down with enough force to kill you. It's when the shots start to angle that they start to become lethal.

I watched this again, and it honestly makes no fukcing sense. Why don't the police handcuff anyone? Even after there are 10+ cops on the scene, suspects are just walking around. It's straight up bizarre how the women are just casually standing around while a huge melee with police occurs.

They had to be on something. One guy got tasered, pepper sprayed, and beat by a nightstick... and he was still walking around just taking random swings at people. That's why I don't understand how the cops couldn't manage to get handcuffs on a single suspect. :confusedshrug:

For example, they drew guns several times but could not fire their weapons (they have strict guidelines when they can and can draw their deadly weapons and the rules are even more strict when they would be allowed to fire and use deadly force, which they were able to do in that scenario but only one time.)

The reason they could not apprehend the suspects with handcuffs is quite clear but since you guys can't seem to see it, in the first several minutes of the video it's because the family members are all fighting back and the police to family member ratio is 1 to 1, the police did not have numbers on their side necessary to apprehend people resisting arrest that are fighting them... you can't just handcuff someone who is fighting you way easier said than done lol they have to be on their backs on the ground with their hands behind their backs and if they don't cooperate (which they didn't) than you need to be able to physically FORCE them into that position. The police get backup later in the video but then the officer explaining why the suspects are still difficult to apprehend is because they are immensely strong for example he describes it took 4 officers to get the arms behind one of the brothers backs, and that brother had a broken arm from the striker sticks. Didn't phase him at all.

In fact none of the family members seemed phased in the least bit by mace, being beaten repeatedly with police sticks to the point that they had broken bones, tasers, it's described the family actually just rolled once they got tased to break the taser cables. One of the brothers even continued fighting completely undeterred and physically unphased after being shot in his stomach.

Many-a-times, when it's just a single person resisting, even if they're not that big, it still often takes two to three officers to make things happen and allow a handcuff.
