just think about it...
Durant, George, Melo all injured this season. meaning the 3 of top 5 players on his position, plus Bosh, Rose and now even Thabo out, eliminating almost any threat in the eastern conference.

How does all this stuff not apply to every player/team in the nba?
Is Lebron the only player in the league?

Durant doesn't play in the east. He'd have to beat the Warriors/Spurs to make it be an issue, and the Cavs would have to make the finals.
Melo being healthy wouldn't mean anything. The Knicks aren't a playoff team with Melo
George.. ok yeah i'll give you that one.

Staying healthy has something to do with luck, but when a guy goes a decade-plus of playing an insane amount of minutes/games at a high level and never sustains an injury of note, it starts to feel a little less like the luck of the draw. There are always going to be guys injured in the NBA. That's just a constant in the league and always has been.
Last year it was Rose, Horford, Westbrook, etc.
The constant is, as the list of guys injured evolves, LBJ never seems to be anywhere near it. Take all of the talent and size and everything else, his endurance might be the most impressive part of his career thus far.

Hmm lets see... what happened the last time when these 3 players were healthy and playing against Lebron in playoffs?
Ohh yes, Lebron won the ring.
GTFO.

LeBron's durability and ability to recover from minor injuries quickly leaves me skeptical of PED's, but then when I watch him play, I begin to understand why he stays healthy. He plays it safe and passive, never really puts his body on the line consistently. Those habits get built up during the season and it may be a reason he freezes in the finals. Most players are used to giving it their all in practice and games to get to that point where as LeBron is a passive coaster, so when that moment arrives, he can't just turn switch up the gear. He just goes and does what he's done all year and expects that to be enough.
In essence, LeBron traded championship performances for durability and maybe longevity.
Fair trade? Probably not...

Forgot LeBron is the one doing this to all of them..
Forgot this doesn't apply to any other team competing thats healthy, just LeBron....
Stupid thread is stupid.

Not luck, just balances out having to carry an often injured Wade for the last 3 years, and for Bosh getting injured during the 2012 playoff run

Name one season when a handful of stars DIDN'T have serious injuries ( I'll help you out, you can't)

People went from "They ain't contenders" to "they ain't gonna win it all" to "LeBron is lucky" to "asterix" running out of excuses, I guess. :confusedshrug:

They weren't contenders until the trades.
LeBron IS lucky, and probably on PED's.
They still aren't winning it all because LeBron lacks killer instinct/urgency in the finals and won't lead his team to victory. They can only win if Kyrie shows the entire world that he has that championship pedigree that LeBron lacks and puts Cle on their back on route to their first ever title. LeBron would have to be a great sidekick though unlike in 2011 when he churned out the worst finals performance in history.

this situation would somewhat be equivalent of 2nd 3peat Jordan playing without having to play Reggie Miller and Steve Smith (Melo and Paul George= the two best players at his position in the east)
Patrick Ewing and Alonzo Mourning hurt (D Rose and Chris Bosh = the two best players on contending teams)
plus, the best player in the west Karl Malone (KD = potential finals opponent)
that is lucky

or Tim Duncan with KG, Dirk, Kobe and Nash hurt.

LeBron is what? 5-0 against those guys in the post season?
What about Kobe? Yao, McGrady, KG, and Gilbert Arenas all went down in his 2009 title run

Good point, a healthy KG and no ring for the Lakers that season.

i didnt say Lebron would not beat them regardless but it got a lot easier.
as for Kobe, he still had to deal with Duncan, Dirk and Nash.

Rose is not out. So this means that the Bulls have an easy path to the Finals too.
And this means that the Warriors or Golden State, who do not have to deal with Durant is also lucky...

stay rational here.
the Derrick Rose that wouldve given Lebron a run for his money doesnt exist anymore since two years. even more luck i say going Lebron's way.

So how are the Hawks not lucky? Don't they not have to deal with the Rose of two years ago?
What about the Wizards? The Raptors? Are they no longer in the NBA?

Wizards? Raptors? they're not coming out of the east no matter if Rose is healthy or not.
