Keith Jones.
Promoted to the Rockets' Head Athletic Trainer in 2007, lets see his resume:
-Yao Ming season ending injury (2007-2008)
-Tracy McGrady season ending injury (2008-2009)
-Dikembe Mutombo career ending injury (2009 postseason)
-Yao Ming season ending injury (2009 postseason)
-Yao Ming career ending injury (2010-2011)
-Omer Asik recurring injuries (2013-2014)
-Dwight Howard recurring injuries (2014-2015)
-Terrence Jones recurring injuries (2014-2015)
-Patrick Beverley season ending injury (2014-2015)
-Donatas Motiejunas season ending injury (2014-2015)
****ing disgraceful, no team has had as many key players injured during that stretch. This man needs his fired the moment this season is over. Keith Jones has one job, and that's keeping our players healthy, and if he can't do that then he has no reason to be an Athletic Trainer for any sport. If James Harden gets hurt under Keith Jones then this man is DOA, there's no sugar coating that.
Seems like a reach. Injuries are part of the game, you think stretching tips would have prevented all these?

It was awful back then, seeing as how Yao and McGrady pretty much only had one fully healthy season together.

I'd like to see other yearly playoffs team that have suffered multiple injuries to impact players from 2007 to now.
In seasons with playoff potential:
Miami Heat? Dwyane Wade multiple seasons, Chris Bosh in 2015
Oklahoma City Thunder? Russell Wesbrook multiple seasons, Serge Ibaka in 2013, Kevin Durant in 2014
San Antonio Spurs? Can't think of any off the top of my head
Los Angeles Lakers? Bynum multiple seasons, Kobe in 2013, Nash in 2013
Dallas Mavericks? Can't think of any off the top of my head
Boston Celtics? Kevin Garnett in 2009, Rajon Rondo in 2013
Orlando Magic? Jameer Nelson in 2009, Dwight Howard in 2012
Memphis Grizzlies? Can't think of any off the top of my head

Clutchfans want this man's head.
If he has a job with the Houston Rockets at the beginning of next season then I would lose all faith in Morey.

All that shows is that injuries are apart of the game. lol at trying to blame a trainer when people get hurt.

If you never played a sport you'd know its the trainers responsibility to monitor a player's training regiment and minor injuries that could potentially turn major.
Keith Jones has done a piss, and I mean PISS, poor job at managing injuries. The resume of the injuries speak for himself, and the thing is that its a constant with our franchise. We are always getting injured because Keith Jones doesn't know how to treat and prevent injuries. If you're putting strain on a certain part of your body then its the trainers responsibility to provide treatment to that area.
Yeah, injuries are part of the game, but if you can prevent them with a top of the line training staff then you do that. Keith Jones isn't that, he's horrible at his job. Players don't want or expect to get hurt, its the training staff's job to help prevent that.

Go ahead and list the injuries that the Rockets players had and how they could have been prevented.

Majority of injuries can be prevented. It takes proper physical preparation before a season starts and maintaining a healthy body during a season. I don't know how or where you came up with the idea that every player is bound to get some major injury every year, if that's the case then the training staff is responsible for that injury. You aren't supposed to play players until they are 100% cleared, but some guys (Kevin Durant) are pressured into playing rather than recovering properly (like Paul George). It's not Kevin Durant's fault, it's not the coaching staff's fault, its the training staff and ALLOWING Durant to continue and play when any sensible doctor wouldn't have cleared him to play unless his foot fully healed.

All injuries are different. Basketball is a contact sport. You fall on your body, someone runs into you, you twist something the wrong way, your acl might tear on a normal jog.
Nothing the trainer can do. Which is why I said point to the injuries that can be linked to the trainer of the Rockets

And I'm saying that an injury can be treated day-by-day. I don't see how D-Mo in particular goes from playing, to being out vs. Washington for rest, to being out for the season. That doesn't make sense.
If Keith Jones and crew had been preparing and giving Motiejunas proper RandR throughout the season then this would likely have never been that serious, thus not he would not have needed season ending back surgery.

You tell me.
What was his injury and how did it occur?
What made his injury worse?

Lakers probably is worse in the same period but I don't think you can put it on the trainer. Sometimes is a predisposition to injuries, sometimes is someone falling on you, you lading bad, or something else.
Unless they're coming back before time or not getting the proper treatment, this injuries aren't on the trainer.

Nobody knows. I looked on ClutchFans and nobody has any prior knowledge of D-Mo getting bumped, or falling, or being escorted out games to relax his back.
I guess just playing without getting proper treatment on his back. If you are a 7 footer then trainers should be keeping an eye on your mid to lower body. D-Mo has played almost every game this season before him being ruled out for the year, and if your getting that much court time then you have to be treated with caution. Obviously if the team never ruled that there was concern for his back previously then he have gotten the same minutes and same treatment as before.
I'm pretty sure we as a team have problem at managing our big men. Yao, Mutombo, Dwight, Asik, Jones, Motiejunas, and now I'm Josh Smith is hurt.

It's a career ending injury dumbass. Mutombo was still one of the fifthteen best defensive centers in the league during his early years as a Rocket. Interesting the season before we acquired Keith Jones, Mutombo played 75 games at the age of 40 and finished the a defensive rating of 96, yet only played 39 games the season after.

How is OP wrong though? Rockets have a history of unfortunate injuries to key players. Also Rockets > Mavs all time.
