The worst X-Men movie ever?
Honestly, I feel like they made the movie just to erase their previous mistake of killing off Cyclops, Jean, and the Professor. I don't see any other reason to create such a far-fetched plot, full of so many holes.

It's probably the best x-men movie ever made.
Great acting, great story, a lot of characters and quicksilver was better than anything ever.
I love how you shitty critics always try so say plot holes, though you can't think of any. Same with interstellar.

What about the fact that it's based on a highly popular storyline from the comics? They didn't make this up because of Last Stand lol

You're complaining about a far fetched plot in a movie about mutants with magic powers?

the wolverine was worse.
Not even close. Origins is an abomination...what they did to Deadpool is atrocious and they even own up to it.
Ryan Reynolds has even stated they are going forward with the Deadpool movie as though Origins never happened.
The Wolverine was actually a very good movie until the end...

I personally thought it was fabulous, but then again Im the kinda guy who will watch endless superhero movies over and over and over and over bc it helps keep me occupied from having to think about anything important in the world.
Thats just me personally. Im super stoked for x-men armageddon, x-men: ballistic galaxy, x men: gambit's playhouse, x-men: travels thru time, x-men: return of the x-men, and every single thing they feel like shoving in front of my face in the next six months or so. Also I got about 8 different tv series of the same exact thing queued up for some major binge watching

Guess I'm in the minority. I thought the plot was borderline retarded, and the entire script was forced. Send Wolverine's mind back 50 years into the past to take over his old body?!? This just seemed like a forced way to make another movie with Wolverine at the center.
Then the plot revolves around stopping one event; Mystique from killing a midget. So they go through all this effort of breaking Magneto out of prison, even though he doesn't really serve a purpose. Then you have Charles taking some miracle drug that conveniently takes away his powers... because if he had his powers from the start, the movie would have been over. If they wanted to stop one midget from getting killed, they could have just kidnapped him and locked him in a room, problem solved. Or better yet, just shoot him in the head, and make it look like a non-mutant did it... problem solved. I mean the plot was just so contrived that 90% of the stuff they did in the movie seemed pointless.
Honestly, I'm not one who usually breaks down plot holes... but this plot was ridiculous. It's like the producers/writers/directors sat down and asked how they could accomplish 3 things; make Wolverine the star, incorporate the First Class characters, and reset the story line so they can make new movies with Cyclops, Jean, and the Professor included (since they killed them off in X3).
I agree the Quicksilver scene was cool.

PS - So now Wolverine was never experimented on by Striker, so I guess he will no longer have the adamantium bones. I wonder how they'll manage to explain that in X4.

Did you even watch the whole movie? Wolverine was retrieved underwater by Striker's unit. Striker last words in the movie is something along the lines, "I got plans for him."
Quit hating!

Striker was actually Mystique at the end.

True...Mystique could have turned evil tho. We don't know. Leaves a lot on the table. At least it leaves a lot to work with in the next movie.
Wanna see a real train wreck? Go watch X3 again. I dare ya.

You sir, just do not understand arti$try and fine, di$criminating ta$te like the rest of us xmen faithful.
I suggest you go to itunes and rent every single xmen production ever made, rewatch them all, then come back and join us for some sophisticated conversation about the substantive art and delicate nuance of comic book superhero movies.

I love X-Men movies, and I went into this movie with an open mind. Too bad the plot was completely contrived with one goal in mind... to reset the series (while still using Wolverine in a lead role).
All of that said, I'm glad the series is now reset, so they can use the old characters. X-Men really isn't X-Men without Professor X.

Worst? Are you mad? X3 was the worst. DOFP was probably my favorite, with X2 and First Class right behind.

X3 wasn't even that bad... Fight in the house between Juggernaut and Wolverine was dope.

The story line for X3 was infinitely better than DoFP. Rise of the Phoenix and battle against the Cure >>> future Wolverine stops the assassination of a midget. And as bad as Origins was, I think DoFP actually had more nonsensical moments.

Definitely worth a watch. About a 7/10. Not in the top of comic movies but still a good story and setting. Something a bit different as superhero movies go. Playing on HBO right now.

Clearly better than X3 and Origins. The first 4/5 of the movie is great, but a very different style from the other X movies.

I don't really care about X-Men anymore or that new FF film.
I wish that Fox could work out a deal and just let Marvel take control of these franchises like Sony did. It pisses me off that they're putting out this piece of crap FF reboot just so the rights won't revert back to Marvel.
Give the fans what they want!

Agreed on FF, but the X-men movies are mostly legit.

I enjoy the X-Men films, but to think that they could be in Infinity War with Captain America, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Thor, Hulk, Guardians of the Galaxy, etc. just pisses me off. Besides, I'm sick of seeing Hugh Jackman :oldlol:

Hugh will be gone soon. I think the X-men movies are better than the Avengers movies.

Future Sentinels are probably the most powerful comic book characters that have been showcased on screen.
Also, look like complete bad asses.
