Bron/Curry/Harden/CP3/Davis are ALL better than Westbrook, in my opinion. So yeah. Probably.

If he played a whole season, OKC makes the playoffs as 6th seed at worst.

He got dealt a bad start in a tough conference. If they were .500 without him, I'd give this thread a legit answer but OP is dumb troll anyway.

It's not just that. He makes his team worse, especially when he takes so many shots away from Durant. Give me Parker over him 7 days a week. He would never make it in Pop's system.

He took too many shots away from Durant today, I agree. Out of those 43 shots, he should have passed to Durant for half of them. Can't believe this fool Westbrook, Durant took 0 shots today. Westbrook such a hog :facepalm

38-27 with him on the floor this would give them 47 wins in 82 it would be enough to get in the playoffs even without Ibaka and Durant for a lot of games.

His MVP ranking will def take a bump due to missing the playoffs.

Probably:
1. Curry
2. Harden
3. James
4. Davis
5. Westbrook

Davis and Westbrook will be decided by who is in the playoffs.

Pop's system needs Parker so much that he can sit on the bench and they can still beat playoff teams with little effort. :lol

Um Please don't tell me you're talking about current Parker. Parker has been horrible, scared to drive to the rack and make some contact. Always dishing out to covered dudes, sometimes getting picked. He's still injured and playing scared. Honestly I'd start CoJo over Parker in the playoffs. I mean shit I can't even remember last time I saw Parker at the damn line.

Westbrook is a top 5 player without a doubt. Only guys ahead of him for sure are Lebron, Durant and Davis.

Impact wise Parker has been part of 4 championships including a fmvp. He has been the main offensive weapon for many, many playoff and finals games. How many rings does Westbrook (who has been on the league's most talented team for years) have?

Personally I wouldn't take Westbrook over and of the following players:

LeBron
KD
CP3
Curry
Harden
Lillard
LMA
DeMarcus Cousins
Anthony Davis
healthy Paul George

Ask yourself "What has X done in the playoffs?" compared to Westbrook. You will see only ones with a legit argument over him are Lebron/Durant. Maybe Curry/CP3.

Taking Harden is laughable. Paul ****ing George lol. Cousins even bigger lol. Davis...not yet.

What's funny is if Durant and Ibaka were healthy OKC would be looking at another deep playoff run and a possible championship. But because Westbrook is playing with Dion Waiters as his 2nd option he is "Not even Top 5" even though he still dominates and has a huge impact. I guess he is supposed to single handedly beat teams with that roster. Is that how high the standard is for him?

You can have your opinion, I'm stating facts. Objectively speaking, taking into account raw numbers, advanced stats, postseason success, the word of GMs/coaches and recent playoff series, only Lebron and Durant have performed as well as Westbrook in the last couple seasons.

An opinion isn't gonna hurt anyone's feelings when it isn't grounded in reality.

I think Hitler was a great person, it's an opinion, it can't be "wrong".

As for facts, Westbrook is 1st in scoring, 4th in assists, 2nd in steals, 2nd in PER, leading all GUARDS in rebounds, Top 3 in ORPM. He is responsible for more points created than any other player in the league. He does everything out there. When you take into account all that along with OKC's record with Westbrook in such a tough Western Conference with his best and 3rd best player missing so much time, how can you argue he is not a Top 5 player? He has the worst current roster and coach out of all the top players as well, he is working with the least talent.

exactly - it's a testament to the parity in the league back then - most of the good talent wasn't all congregated in one conference like it is now in the Western Conference where everyone has a great record while the East sucks

Making the playoffs is all about doing well enough relative to the other teams to make the playoffs..

Jordan always did, while Westbrook couldn't this year and is now lottery... and it's because of this:

How can you also have Aldridge but no Blake when Blake's superior?

Cousins? Not yet. Healthy Paul George is irrelevant as he isn't healthy.

With westbrook, what you see isnt really what youre getting. Yes he is a great individual performer( like melo) but his style and iq isnt the best for team winning. I think its inexcusable to go 3-7 the last ten games when you are fighting for a playoff spot.

Not sure if serious?

Fully serious? Aldridge grabs about 2.5 more boards, but is playing with a guy averaging 6.9 while DeAndre is grabbing just under 15. Aldridge also scores 1.5 more points, but takes 2.8 more shots to do so and shoots nearly 4% less from the field. Blake also has triple the dimes with about a half a giveaway more. Assists aren't huge when comparing fours, but Blake giving the Clippers 10 more points by passing is just huge (not accounting for any of the dimes being threes).

Not taking anything away from Aldridge and his gritty play through injuries, but Blake has just been better on the season.

basketball is a TEAM sport. Shitty coach, shitty roster, Westbrook himself been injured this year...

Honestly, his team would be the least talented in the Playoffs if he were to make it...he still had a great year individually, but his team isn't built to win, and I bet the guys aren't playing as hard as they did when there was a chance that KD would come back this season. Ever since it was announced that KD is done for the year, they have fallen off.

Pop wouod yell at Westbrook when he screws up and Westbrook would yell back, it would happen every game and eventually theyd trade him.

Kevin Love was also injured last year. 26/12/4 with a worse roster than Westbrook's. Missed the playoffs of course but people underrating him cause of that. Reason why I made this thread.
