Going to get a pass because all the injuries. Rightfully so, imo. Although based on the rest of his career and coaching ability, he should have been fired by now.

Pacers announcers were shocked at times with Brook's inability to grasp matchups. E.g. He had a squad on the floor where Waitors was matched up to guard David West in the post for a couple of possessions. This was a lineup coming out of a timeout--one that the announcers instantly recognized as WTF before the ball was even inbounded.

I respect Brooks alot, his players do as well given all the freedom and non confrontation he brings to the table. Pure genius if you think about it. He clearly understands that KD and Westbrook want to shine so he doesn't even have an offense, just give them free reign to do what they want. 40 shots a game? Don't mind if I do. Kanter shooting corner 3's? Why not. Waiters mid range pullup without a single pass with 18 left on the clock? With Brooks we get a heavy dose of all of these.

It's the NBA equivalent of a elementary gym teacher taking his class to a basketball gym and leaving to talk to his mistress over a cigarette.
