New Yorkers are hard workers and don't appreciate title chasing colluders that are phony good guys. Kobe is not phony, everyone knows he's a miserable prick and he won't deny it. I have no love for either, them 2 were the most physically gifted players in NBA history and they underachieved. Kobe made the most of his physical gifts. you clearly are not a real new yorker if you don't think that almost all real new yorkers wouldn't move to the company that gives them the most money or a better career path.
what new york are you living in or do you never go out and meet people? using your brain to use others to get to your goal is the true new york way.
lebron knew cavs were not the lakers but still gave them ample time to build a good team around him and when they kept failing, he took matters in his own hands.
look at the cavs now. their front office is so much better because they know that they don't own lebron. most basketball owners/FOs are slowly realizing that basketball players don't think like 16 yr olds who have never worked a day in their lives in the corporate world. loyalty is a 2 way street and if teams are ready to trade players when they are not good then players can leave when the team front office or owners are not good.
