:biggums: Had to double take when I looked at the season leaders. James Harden is second in the League in Minutes at 36 per night :biggums:

Just 4 years ago he'd be 20th. Has it ever been so low?

And players still bitching that the season is too long?

And it also seems like players are getting injured even more than before.

The Spurs set the standard for resting players and keeping minutes low and everyone is trying to follow suit.

Injuries are the same. I however think that it has gone overboard, but I havent seen any science for or against it so better safe than sorry.

I don't think that someone will get that more tired or susceptible to injuries if they play 5 more minutes per game but I'm not a doctor.

The game is revolving away from hero ball and towards team ball.

Tell that to Rose three years ago.

Its all about keeping players healthy, especially with injuries becoming more common for star players the last few years.

Guys who played 38+ mpg were usually guys who were asked to carry heavy loads (Cavs Lebron, Post-Shaq Kobe, Pre-Lebron Wade, etc). Aside from Westbrook and maybe Harden, there aren't really any guys like that today.
