media i can play in my car these days? :confusedshrug:
i've never been a huge music fan, at least never that dude who cared much for buying CD's, etc. .... but back in the day it used to be easy where you'd just make a tape with your favorite songs on them. it seems like nowadays you have to have ipods and buy songs which is ridiculous to me...buy songs :oldlol: :facepalm
yeah i know there are free download sites but what media device are you using then?
i mean i have a note 3 phone, can i do it on that where it sounds decent or can bluetooth a best songs list i recorded into the stereo of my car(which has CD player, bluetooth, etc)?
i wish i could just take straight from youtube, would be sweet if i could run video with songs in my car. i do have aux jack but i think thats only for ipod.
anyways i like all different kinds of popular songs, and hate buying someones whole album since to me 3/4's of their shit is usually garbage. i just want to make a best of songs 'tape' and be able to run it in my ride.
i know i'll get clowned for asking this but i'm cool with that just tell me how people are doing it these days without having to buy a ipod and buying music. i don't need top quality sound and **** shit like that either, just want to make my best song tape the easiest way possible without having to spend much :pimp:

Find any song you want on youtube, use a youtube converter to download the song as MP3, put it on your itunes playlist, burn it on a CD or put it on your iphone/ipod. Idk about putting shit on your other type phone, maybe use bluetooth to drop them on your phone from your computer?

I have satellite radio in both of my cars, but I also have about 100gigs of music on my phone that automatically syncs via bluetooth.

Well, running Spotify or Pandora is going to cost you data. If you have an unlimited data plan than it probably doesn't matter. I've personally never wanted to have to rely on being connected to the internet to listen to music.

damn didn't think of that. I'm on a share plan but after trying to gauge it last night it doesn't seem to eat up too much data, nothing close to movies at least.
i can't seem to get the bluetooth to work between car and phone with spotify. i wonder if thats a paid service to do that...since i know the bluetooth is sync'd with my car.

:biggums: How was it easier back in the day?
If you wanted to make a mixtape back then, you'd have to take go borrow a bunch of albums from each of your friends and then play them on a system with a tape deck and press RECORD. That would take forever.
Or you had to wait for the song to come on the radio and then press RECORD. This is what I used to do...ALL DAY. It was crazy. It made it kinda interesting, and it turned this into a full out hobby for me...song hunting...i'd sit there listening to the radio all day waiting to catch my favorite songs...which was kinda cool and fun actually...but it certainly wasn't EASY.
One word bro: Spotify. If u have any type of computer sense, u'll figure out the create playlist feature. And then you will be able to do in minutes what would have taken me 2 or 3 months to do in 1994.

Sorry...didn't read the thread... it seems u already figured out Spotify.
And about their being a "catch"...there is none...which is why I think it's not going to last...more artists will band together and do what Taylor Swift did. And actually they already did come together to form Tidal which is going to compete with Spotify.
