Gobert should be DPOY. Utah's defensive transformation since he became the starter has been unreal.
Gobert became starter and started getting big minutes the game right after the AS break. Before the AS break, Utah had the 27th ranked defense, a 106.1 DRTG. Since the AS break they've had the #1 defense, 94.2 DRTG...4.8 points better than #2 (Memphis) and 11.9 points better than their pre-AS break defense.. And the difference between them at #1 and Memphis at #2 in that span is bigger than the difference between #2 Memphis and #18 New Orleans.
The guy is a fvcking monster.

Sucks that he won't be in the running since they're out of the playoff picture, BUT I think he may be the favorite to win it next year, if he's healthy. Fully expecting them to make the playoffs with Burks back, Gobert cemented as their clear cut Center, along with a few offseason moves to shape up the roster.
