He was in the Muscle Shoals documentary. They credit him as the very first hit record they cut at the studio. And I suppose you can make the argument that without that, and him being a local boy for them to record, that the studio would've never made it. Instead it wound up recording some a huge chunk of the most soulful music of the 50s - 70s.
