It would be foolish to trade Randle when theres so much upside to keeping his contract. Not only does he have potential to be a solid player but his value would come at a small contract price.

The Lakers need to keep all cheap contracts with potential or only move them for proven players that would be sure to change the teams direction. Boogie isnt one of those players since he has a high potential to be both good or awful. A malcontent player who has missed a lot of playing time is not someone you want to gamble on, proof being drama queen dwight.

I think there's a pretty decent chance Cousins is traded this summer, but I'd have a high asking price as a starting point. Clarkson, Randle, Jordan Hill, LAL + HOU first rounders, future first, and 2015 LAL 2nd rounder for Boogie, Collison, and Landry. I'd thrown in Thompson but I don't think they have enough cap space to absorb all of those contracts. Or maybe swap Collison/Thompson in the trade. Try to get as much young talent, picks, and cap relief as possible.

I'm always wary of trading a top player within the conference though.

Clarkson, Randle and Towns core would turn these last couple nightmare seasons into a dream come true.
