That seems like a fair trade dont you think? Production does not have to literally add up to the 2 players to make it a fair deal. Normally that would be fair value.


In Shaqs case, what you are referring to, is that Shaqs total production was more than Wade and Bosh combined. But you dont necessarily need to match production to be a better option.

I watched every game of that series. They were a better team with wade off the floor. More shooting, more space, LeBron was more aggressive, everyone knew their role.
When wade got on the floor, he killed everything, LeBron felt the need to get him going, which was smart because if wade didn't do some scoring he was completely useless. Wade killed the rhythm of the team, but Spo was too scared to play him less, which almost cost the heat the series. It's not like wade helped inside or helped guard tony parker. The spurs didn't even pay attention to wade. He had the worst +/- of anyone in the series.
