I'm sure you've spent a lot of time there.
Hitsville USA, Fox Theater, opera house, riverwalk, eastern market, art institute, st. andrew's, fisher theater, botanical gardens, the fillmore, few historic churches...

seeing as how the pistons don't play in detroit and he is going in may, that would make you a stupid man.
co-sign deuce. There is a lot in the surrounding area worth checking out as well.

DW, I appreciate the list. I'll post in here what we end up doing. Taking the baby as well...
Any good small food places you know of?
Love street food, Korean, Mexican, anything spicy or interesting

I left MI 10 years ago, but street food would probably be Greektown, Mexicantown, and, just a guess, Eastern Market; but I've never been to EM. It's right next to Comerica, Ford Field, and Fox Theater. I know everyone goes there before football games these days so I'm guessing there's plenty of quick food to go on.

Not sure yet, meeting up with a friend in Windsor on the Saturday night, and have all day to kill, and don't want to spend the day in Windsor.

Windsor is not cool unless you're between the ages of 19 and 20 years 355 days.
I haven't been there since February 3rd 2001.

Auburn Hills is it's own city.
Much like Mississauga is to Toronto.
Or, Long Beach is to Los Angeles
Mississauga and Long Beach both have their own mayor, and city council... as do the folks in Auburn Hills.

The land quickly gives way to locations that look like this as you make your way up to the Palace.

Try to not catch a body? Ooh, another fun activity to do in Detroit is to try and stay alive. Good luck!

Apparently the youngsters can't even drink there anymore if they have a US ID Card.
As for original topic...
Henry Ford Museum, Greenfield Village, Hart Plaza (Preferably when a decent event is happening there), Renaissance Center (GM Building), Detroit Institute of Arts, Detroit Science Center, C-Pop Gallery, Woodward Area (Where Comerica Park, Ford Field, Fox Theatre, Hockeytown Cafe, etc... are), MGM Grand, Greektown, Mexican Town, Eastern Market.
Downtown Royal Oak (see Detroit Zoo while you are out there) and Ann Arbor are nice if you get out to the suburbs.
Probably worth doing a dinner boat on Detroit River if you are into that thing.
