This guy was fast, strong, had guard agility, and could pretty much do everything. I don't think I have ever seen a bball player that toned

One six game series...

their other 42 career H2H's...a complete draw.

Yes, and I am sure you could remember that at the time a lot of experts considered DR as the best center in the leaugue, he got 5 or 6 time the IBM award for best team contributer (there was such an award back then). So even if both of them were equal it is that 6 games series and the Finals series vs Ewing and Shaq which cemented Hakeem's place as the best player during MJs first retirement and the best center of his generation (Ewing, Robinson). Shaq probably is ahead of Hakeem in most GOAT lists. I liked Hakeem, but he could not stop Shaq going to the basket, once Shaq established himself in the post he scored with good efficiency and regularly outrebounded, outshooted Hakeem. But once again Hakeem resume in 1994 and 1995 is what separated him from others and gives the nod over Shaq over those two years. As an individuals and H2Hs we could argue all day who was better center in 1994 and 1995 (as you posted that Shaq outplayed Hakeem in '95 Finals) - prime Hakeem or younger 22-23 year old Shaq. In exactly that case for me the team accomplishments is what helped Hakeem's cause and the fact that he delivered when matters most. In my view when we had equality in performances than we could add the winning factor. Not in the case where Blazers sweeped Lakers in '77 WCF and a someone could say that Walton kicked Kareem's ass while the reality was that Kareem had great series and was superior in his perfomance, not that Walton was bad either but in now way he outplayed Jabbar.

Probably we could see - in fact Robinson was a modern era player, quick, fast, athletic with midrange shot and could pass the ball well.

[quote]The league had never seen anyone like him during those early years. He stood 7-foot-1 with a body built like a wasp: narrow waist, broad shoulders, muscles rippling on top of muscles. He protected the rim as well as anyone in the league, but also ran the floor like a guard. He

Oh god if only!

I think the most interesting thing about him is the fact he went to Navy and
became the number one pick in the draft. Forever is a long time, but im going to go out on a limb and answer your subjective and ambiguous question and say:

We wiill never see another David Robinson.
