I need your help again.
For the GT70 Dominator, is the processor the catch which is why it's sold at a lower price than it should be? Is the processor going to be a problem in time? I've read that HQ tends to overclock higher than MQ?
And as for the video memory, what's the difference between 2 GB GDDR5 & a plain out 3GB *with no GDDR5*?
Kindly also point out if there's anything about the specifications that could help me out. I just want to make sure. Thanks.

both GPU's have GDDR5 memories, the GTX 970m (3GB) is just not specified. As for the processors they seem to go head to head, GT70 Domintor is your pick easily. Get an SSD.

^Ikr:)) I want that DotA 2 & CSGO 60FPS. Lol
@fiddy, so there's no significant difference between the processors at all? Cool. I'll maybe get an SSD next time, that's just a bit too much atm. Thanks.

Have you ever worked on a computer with an SSD? If by some chance you havent, i suggest getting one in your hands ASAP.

Shit is nuts
-preinstalled my windows in less than 15 minutes
-pc boots in less than 30 sec
-majority of applications open at the same moment you double click on them
-games load significant faster
never going back to simple HDDs

So is it possible to have an SSD & an HDD in the GT70?
I don't know the terms, but, can I assign my SSD card as the C: drive? and 1 TB HDD as the D: drive if that's even possible?

Yes, that's the usual configuration, put your SSD as a system drive, where your windows files and games are, so they can boot faster. I read the GT70 has two slots for storage devices, it comes with 1TB HDD, you have another free slot (winky face)

Yup. I love my SSD. I throw all my files on the external HDD and run all installs from the SSD for instant loading like you mentioned. 30 second boot is kind of slow though actually, mine is between 10-15 seconds, never more. That's Windows 8 though, it boots pretty quick. Ubuntu is less than 10 seconds. Using my computer at work is frustrating though since it's some crap hard drive and I'm impatient as hell now.

 It is nice. I used to just put my computer into sleep mode to avoid the annoying boot times from a shut down which would take several minutes.

This would mean that I'll need to install an OS in my SSD if I want the bootup fast as yours, yea? If so, I sort of don't want to do that since MSI have their features already installed, unless it comes with a disc.
Right now, I'm thinking keep the 1TB HDD as is & just add the SSD for gaming.
I've learned a lot today. Holy shit. haha

Yes, btw this is the best time to do it, because you will get an empty laptop. I rarely use any utilities from the manufacturers, most of them seem like bs to me. Anyway you can easily get them from MSI's website.

Anything you might spend $1,000 on that isn't rent, a mortgage or a vacation could also be met with this same response.
Don't be judgmental buddy.

If you can go SSD, go SSD. /end
Also someone mentioned Windows starting in 30 seconds? Is this Windows 8? Because I have a regular hard drive and Windows starts up to desktop in 22 seconds for me from when I turn it on.

60 fps in Dota 2. It feels so good. ahahaha. It's so crisp & smooth. It's really amazing. I don't even know what to say anymore. Thank you!!!
Here's a test video I edited from Dota 2. It's not really high def, PowerDirector wouldn't let me record it higher than 30fps from Fraps :facepalm

Just clone it to the ssd and format the hdd and use it for other stuff. Thats what I did.
Ease master partition is a good software to use.

Appletards pay lots of money for inferior hardware, its a nice machine and its worth it imo.
