What can I say, I guess Lebron is good at making his teammates worse. Has the ability to stat-hog his way into making the rest of his team play as bad as possible. I guess they must have know Lebron scored all his points in garbage time blowout losses but was getting outplayed by Kawhi when the games were close :oldlol:

Did Greg Oden not play an offensive possession in the Finals? Did not know that.

i can even understand people's logic about him playing away from the basket but what about defensive rebounds? if he was not being utilized properly on offense as some claim then he should have more energy on defense and defensive rebounding.

not that it would make much difference to the outcome, but from the beginning of this playoff run Spo was on some sh!t...he went from logging a useful Beasley down the regular season stretch to not giving him any minutes until game 5 of the Finals when they were blown out. :facepalm

if this team wanted any chance at a dynasty, Riley needed to come down from the front office and put Spo at sidekick in 2010. so many wayward decisions made by Spo from beginning to end, can't help but put partial blame to him.

You literally have down syndrome if you think Pippen and Wade's impact in those series were equal because they averaged the same ppg

Jordan also took 27 shots per game in that series so it is a goddamn miracle his teammates were able to put up those numbers

27 shots on 51% TS:facepalm

also, 2013,2014 spurs> 97,98 jazz plus the fact that heat lost because of defense and not offense. i remember lebron scoring bucket after bucket in 3rd quarter of one of the games in finals and lead kept going up instead of reducing. people say that he scored in garbage time when it is the exact opposite. he only scored when game was close to winnable.

Jazz had the 17th best defense in the league in '98:biggums:

You wouldn't even get into the conference finals with that shit today

Weak era

51% TS against 105,5 Drtg defense:lol

There's no defense tough enough today to make guys shoot 51% TS

Instead, Thibb's defense gives up 66% TS to Wade, and the Spurs give up 65% to Durant and Lebron - in MJ's era, he never shot that well against ANY team, not even the bad ones.

Jordan's TS would be insane in today's game

It's statistical fact that today's defenses give up better efficiency - THAT SPACING EFFECT

Great thread OP. LeBron Family bringing in facts :applause:

True, I've never seen such shit tier supporting casts since Cavs in 2007.

LeBron averaged 28 ppg on 70%TS (MUCH better than Jordan's impact) and still lost in 5

The funny thing is that these Lebron stans sometimes raise good points, but due to the fact they are so often trolling it's hard to take them seriously.

because he took many shots and was not good enough to be efficient with them

When did this happen?
2010 First Round - Wade's Heat vs. Celtics.

Wade shot 65%, better than anything Jordan has ever done against ANY team, even the bad ones.

This is common for today's wing players though - Paul George shot 61% TS against Miami, Durant and Lebron have gone for 65% TS against the Spurs...

It's not uncommon at all for today's wings to shoot way better against good teams, than MJ did against bad teams - that's just the difference between no-spacing and spacing... and it's also the difference between a tougher-called game where you had to EARN your FT's, and a soft game for kids where the whistle blows anytime a guy looks at another guy.

It's the difference between todays eras guys getting hot from 3 which is the easiest way to build a great TS.

Check reggie miller TS's.. they're extremely high even in mjs era.. it's the threes. except for wade just being in prime dwhistle mode in that one case..

threes are part of it, but so are FT's - heck Reggie Miller, Bird and the like never shot no damn 64% or 65% TS.

it's a mathematical fact that higher FT frequency boosts TS%, and today's player shoots free throws 17% more of the time.

that's why all these lesser wings shoot better against good teams, than MJ ever shot against bad teams.

MJ in '98 Finals
2.15 2 point shots per FTA

LeBron in '14 Finals
2.20 2 point shots per FTA

MJ played in a more FT friendly era

And the jazz had a drtg of 100.4 during those playoffs...and kept opposing teams to 41% from the field.

Jordan took 27 shots per game, which spearheaded an OREB advantage, allowing the Bulls to have higher ORtg for the series..

But that's beside the point - today's game takes 2.7 two-point shots for every 1 FTA (4958/1852)

In 1985, the league took 3.1 two-point shots for every 1 FTA (7049/2408).

So players today take 17% more free throws on two-point shots, or 5 more FT's per 100 two-point attempts.. that's a SUPER-ton... :confusedshrug:
