What kind of money is he going to be looking at this summer?

I'd say the 25mil/4yrs range :confusedshrug:

I hate him but I'd take him on my team any day.

And who is going to pay him that? Dude will most likely be looking at Tony Allen type of money

Good fit for Utah.

In two years the AVG NBA salary will be >8M/. Max deals will be for ~35M/.

You think a starting NBA PG should be making less than 6m?

His inability to stay healthy this year does raise some red flags though. He plays hard and gritty basketball. His body needs to be able to keep up. Might be shorter years more money.

If I were a team like the in need of a point guard (ie Kings, Rockets) I'd probably throw him 9-10 mil over 2 years, 2nd year being a team option.

Probably American dollars, but Chinese yuan is a high upside wager that could pay off.

He's not a clear-cut starter and not many teams are in need of point guards these days... A guy like him you don't pay a lot of money for unless you already have a core that you think you can contend with. He might get paid but I just don't see that much of a market for him.

That's ludicrous.

Tony Allen makes 5, and Avery Bradley makes 8 (and most said he was overpaid.)

Something like this makes sense. He'd probably want the security of a 3rd year 15/3 for him is good value IMO.

I don't see him getting too many offers, if at all. He's shown to have limited talent and a true deficit in the locker room. Wouldn't surprise me if he's in the D-League somewhere next year.

2 million a year. That would be my offer. Maybe 6 mill 3 years.

A little bit more than whatever Jeremy Lin is making.

I'd take him on the Lakers at 5 mil a year to replace Jeremy Lin.

I think he will probably end up in the 5-7 mil per year range. The deal in the OP seems fairly reasonable and likely. I'd kind of like to see him on the Bucks. It would help improve an already awesome defense and it frees up the ball (and some spacing) for Giannis and Parker when he returns. Maybe snag Devin Booker in the draft and that would be a really fun team to watch on both ends.

He'd make a great back-up for almost every team in the league.

I wouldn't want him as my starter though

It depends, if you have someone like Harden in your team then he is a perfect compliment. But yeah he will be a good backup to any team.

I meant 9-10 million over a period of 2 years

So 4.5 to 5 million

He's nothing more than a 3rd string PG. So the answer would be another moron GM, like Darl Morey.
