It seems like he's on pace to, this version of Harden is already better than Iverson's peak pretty clearly imo, and he's only 25. With 5-6 more seasons at this level and a few deep playoff runs that should do it no?

If AI could get 1 FT for every 2 point shot he attempted, he'd have higher scoring avg than Wilt!

??

He's clearly a more efficient scorer by far and don't bring up that hand check bs because Ai played in non hand check from 05 onward and didn't come near Harden's efficiency.

Iverson averaged 33 ppg on 45 percent shooting and 27 ppg on 46 percent shooting post hand-check era.

AI averaged nearly 27 ppg for his f*cking career. Try again.

30 year 3 years away from retirement AI: 33/7 on 45%

Current Harden: 28/7 on 44%

That season for him was an anomoly. Idk why you are bringing up career averages when i'm talking peaks. And besides career averages are a poor way of seeing who a better player is because it doesn't account for outlier years nor past or pre-prime seasons that drag the averages down. And by your logic Ai had a better career than kobe because his career ppg is higher. Ai in 06 was a 33 on 54 ts%, Harden is at roughly 27.5 on 60-61 ts%. I don't see a scoring advantage for Iverson.

This year from Harden is better than any version of Ai, deal with it. Much higher efficiency and higher PER. The only way to make a case for the contrary is if he is a disaster come playoffs again.

post TS%, ORTG, DRTG, PER

anybody using ORTG & DRTG for individual players is a moron

the claim was "Iverson didn't come near Harden's efficiency"

and well.. he clearly did.. even as a lesser version of himself

You cant claim its a lessar version of himself then bring up how its one of his best seasons. And he wasnt near his efficiency, 54 to 60.5 ts%.

To be fair, Iverson put up 25 shots to Harden's 18.

so he took 7 more shots per game and still shot a higher percentage from the field? impressive

can people wait until James Harden shoots above 39% from the field in the playoffs as a Rocket and makes the 2nd round before we use his "efficiency" as a reason for him being better than guys who were actually able to translate their regular season play into post season success?

having a higher TS% make up for scoring 5 less points per game, you're shooting less so you're expected to shoot a higher percentage..

and again, Harden's style of play which leads him to his high TS% has never translated into the post season, so it's not something to hang your hat on..

This is true. But theres no way an argument can be made that iverson was more efficient that james 'ft' harden
