If the Nets lose tonight they should make Paul Pierce gm.

2 teams trying to lose against each other for the same draft pick the last game of the season.

I've never seen that crazy shit.

Hopefully the Nets will win. Pacers likely won't beat the Grizz, so this is the Nets shot at saving some face after Pierce eviscerated them.

Going to be a lot of missed wide open shots. Neither team will want to defend nor score a basket. :oldlol:

So let me get this straight, we need to lose in order for the pick to stay top 10 protected?

Let's go Sixer's.

Yes mostly. If the Sixer lose and the Nets lose, the Heat and Nets will be tied for 10th worst record. The tie breaker for their final seeding is a coin toss before the lottery. That's how I understand it. The Heat swept the Nets this season but the tie breaker isn't HTH or division record it's a coin toss. So a loss by the Sixers and Nets still doesn't guarantee anything tonight it just keeps hope alive.

Are you serious? F*ck the pick then. Thought it went to Heat because they killed Nets all season. What's the point if that doesn't matter standing wise. :rant

You just killed my hopes. :oldlol:

Nah, they wanted that one BADLY. They were reporting it before and after the game, they knew MCW was coming for them and they planned for it. Still got destroyed :oldlol:

Sixers aren't even that terrible. Hell, they would've beaten us last game if it wasn't for MCW shitting on their faces.

Hmmm.. so a double tank Heat-Sixers to decide a key lottery pick?

Wade better bring his A-grade sabotage skills this game and prevent a win, like he's times done before.

I was reading about it today here

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2428778-nba-draft-lottery-2015-explaining-format-tie-break-rules-coin-flip-scenarios

then later on 97 they were talking about it being a coin toss as well.

edit: It still means that everything is in play. If a team behind them jumps into the top three then the Sixers get that pick. Also if two teams jump into the top three, the Sixers get the Lakers pick. Either way, like I said before, owning Miami's and LA's picks whether they are for this year or the next is what counts. Those picks are valuable because neither team will be good next year. Hinkie can wheel and deal with that shit all day long. It's not like the 11th pick in this years draft will be so much better than the 14th pick in next years, so don't get too uptight. Embiid will hopefully play next year and Saric the year after that, in addition to whatever players they end up drafting.

I haven't read all responses, but my understanding is that if Miami and Orlando both win, then Heat & Brooklyn split the combinations for the 10th/11th draft positions in the lottery. I thought that the coin toss dictated draft order for playoff teams only, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

Also, I thought MIA would be a shoe-in post Dragic trade to get one of the bottom 2 seeds. Anyways, even if that pick doesn't convey this year, watch Hinkie Jedi Mind trick some front office into allowing him to trade into lottery again.

Covington, Caanan, future MIA pick, option to swap 2016 OKC/CLT first round picks for Lance, Marvin Williams, and Charlotte's 2015 lotto pick.

Why would the Hornets do this? Because I think MJ can convince himself into accepting cap relief, extra pick as trade ammo, and 3 point shooters on dirt cheap contracts.

Pacers are so much better. Grizzlies should just let them win because the Pacers could kill off a big seed in the East.
