Kanter's play is not conducive to winning basketball. He is along the lines of Al Jefferson, big men with great post moves and can play pick and roll basketball but terrible on defense. Look how much better the Jazz got because they were finally capable of playing defense. Addition by subtraction. OKC's offense got better but their defense fell apart. It can't be all Kanter, Ibaka didn't play for a few weeks at the end...but Kanter is a major part in the style of game OKC had to play. He had good chemistry with Westbrook but that's not worthy of max.

Also, I don't know who Booker is. But if he wants to dwell on Kanter, so be it.

This is true. It's not that it's impossible to win with a guy like that, but it does require some really intricate team building.

On the list of guys worth trying to build around like that.

Okafor has a ton of ceiling and it's worth trying.

Al had his moments, and when things went right it worked to a degree.

Lopez probably not. He's never really had the right pieces put around him though, and he's never proven he can stay healthy enough to be worth trying.

And Enes Kanter is in fact Enes Kanter.


I'd still guess he gets somewhere about 6-7 mill next year. Although someone may push it to 8. There's no accounting for that one asshole.
