I believe he is the epitome of the modern day combo guard position that you see now with Westbrook, Rose, Clarkson, Curry and all these other point guards that can score.

Magic gets honorable mention but he is not a great scoring facilitator like Kobe.

I think people are confused here. The triangle offense does not require a true point guard, a reason why Kobe had to point out to his teammates on where to go. He is essentially the PG/facilitator of that offense.

There is no point guard in the last 10 years that I would take over him. In history, I would probably take Magic and that's about it.
