Was the facilitator on 5 championship teams.

#7 in all time playoff assist.

The innovator of the combo guard position not only was did he facilitate 5 championship teams but he also has more points than Michael Jordan. I believe he is the epitome of the modern day combo guard position that you see now with Westbrook, Rose, Clarkson, Curry and all these other point guards that can score.

Magic gets honorable mention but he is not a great scoring facilitator like Kobe.

Jesus, OP does not represent Laker fans. He is insane.

I think people are confused here. The triangle offense does not require a true point guard, a reason why Kobe had to point out to his teammates on where to go. He is essentially the PG/facilitator of that offense.

There is no point guard in the last 10 years that I would take over him. In history, I would probably take Magic and that's about it.

You're just some Laker fan.

I am a real Kobe fan unlike you wagoners that support him when he was successful but now you guys claim to be Laker fans because he's hurt.

Kobe is technically the 3rd most successful playmaker in nba history

Leading playmaker /assist leader for 5 championships

The triangle offense takes advantage of passing bugs (Shaq, Pau,Kukoc,Odom). Therefore Shaq is the best.

Might regret asking this, but who's ahead of Kobe and who rounds out the rest of the top ten in your opinion?

I love Jason Kidd but he piggybacked a ring.

We are talking about the main distributor/point guard of 5 championship teams.

If I am not mistaken he led everyone of those teams in assists all while scoring shit loads of points.

Innovator of the current crop of combo guards we see.

What about his defence? Do great points guards only play one end of the court?

He got the stats. #7 in career playoff assist. Most points ever for a point guard.

he also got a good case for best center if you think about it

in 1999 he averaged a block per game!

if you multiply this with his 19 seasons times his age you get 576

if you take this times his 5 rings you get 2880

now consider his 6.9 rebounds average per game in 2002

6.9 times 2880 is 19872

Going by your criteria, it is comfortably Bron.

He has scored more points and had more assists in the playoffs the last 10 years.

Lebron is the greatest scorer and point guard of the last 10 years. :applause:

He never played center even though he has a top 5 in history post game.
