Any laptop experts here?

ISH I need your help, there is this shit popping up on my laptop every couple months. Seems like a hardware issue, anyone know what it may be? It shows up when I move my mouse to certain spots, then disappears then pops up again, really annoying stuff.

video card going out....plug it into a secondary monitor and if you see the same thing then its the card.

Yea I heard it may be the card or the motherboard, maybe its not plugged in tightly. It goes away and never stays on screen unless I "find the spot" and don't move my mouse. I think if the Vcard failed it would be there permanently.

True if it was the card it's more likely to be always there. Could also be the screen itself. Although I have had graphics card issues that occurred intermittently.

My guess would be GFX card is on the way out.

rip gpu, laptop exact model? some laptops have a built in GPU in the processor (intel ones) and also have a separate video card. You might get lucky if you have two.
