Also finished the season with a +10.1 Point Differential.

They are in great shape heading into the playoffs. Pelicans don't seem to be a threat. In the 2nd round they will play the Blazers or Grizzlies, both teams don't seem like contenders at the moment.

Their biggest threat to many was the Spurs, but they dropped to the 6th seed and will be in a war with the Clippers in the first round without home court, I expect the winner of that series to play Golden State in the WCF.

The Warriors don't have anyone to guard AD. I give them a shot.

West has been decimated by injuries this year and east (pacers, Miami) two top teams have also been decimated with injuries as well as Bulls. This is an injury year straight up

I have GS in 6. Pelicans are better than their record indicates (due to injuries).

The West had 5 teams that won 55+ games this year, has that ever been done before? Also 7 teams with 50+ victories. West is still loaded.

I think its def POSSIBLE the Grizz could grind out the Warriors in a series.

Dubs would be the favorite but I dont think itd be a fait accompli by any means.

I don't see it. The Warriors defense is way too good for the Grizzlies inconsistent offense.

Doubt it. The Grizzlies at the end of the day and no homecourt advantage wont be able to score enough with the Warriors. It might go 7.

I would give Memphis a chance if they had any shooters, once Golden State gets hot from downtown the Grizzlies can't counter since they are a horrible shooting team.

You guys gotta realize the Pelicans are better then record indicates. Don't be surprised even with a mediocre Coach they still could if won 50+ with no injuries.

was sweating the grizz a little bit due to past match ups with them...last two games vs them got ugly though...@ oakland and memphis.

Pelicans will be a tough out. I would have rather played the Thunder to be honest.

Thats the thing tho, if the Grizz can prevent the Warriors from getting hot from outside, the Warriors are unlikely to get a lot of easy baskets. Obviously easier said than done, but Curry is going to have Tony Allen the human muzzle on him and Klay can still be a streaky performer. If things break right for the Grizz they could frustrate the younger Dubs team.

A lot of it will be about Randolph. If he comes up huge, I dont see the Grizzlies not winning. Question is, can he bully that Warriors d?

You also have to factor in injuries. Conley and Allen have had some nagging injuries for quite some time, Tony Allen I believe hasn't played in weeks.

It happened in the 90s (the year the Lakers, Sonics, and Jazz won 60+). I'm pretty sure it happened in the 00s too. Not so sure about the 80s, I don't think it did, at least not the latter half.

I'm hoping the Blazers get a fluke win (I don't think this will happen) as they're much preferable to playing the Grizz.

Now if only Dirk can enact revenge and wipe out the Spurs in the 2nd round

Yeah, the Pelicans now have Anderson and Holiday back, too. While I still think it's a 5 game series at the most, in general the games will likely be closer than they would've been had OKC made the playoffs. OKC's offense is still pretty damn potent right now even without Durant and Ibaka, but they'd give up 120+ every game.

Right up there with the best.

Under the circumstances, it rivals the Bulls 72-10 season.
