So Harden with the Durant-less Thunder and Russ with the Howard-less Rockets. Which team's record improves and which get worse? Or do they both get better? Or both worse?

IMO, Rockets get significantly worse (borderline playoffs) and the Thunder get better.

Westbrook would turn everyone on Houston into spot-up shooters like he did in OKC

And his 53% TS wouldnt help

80% of Houston fans in the arena would manage to stay awake and actually enjoy the game.

lol @ Rockets getting significantly worse. They have a barely above league-average offense. Their defense is the 10th best in the league and Harden has little to do with that.

You telling me Westbrook couldn't make them a league-average offense?

The Thunder had a ORTG of 110.5 in the final 66 games of the season after Westbrook came back.

That's +4.9 relative to league-average and top 5 in the league. And that's with a ridiculous amount of injuries and a bunch of role-players around him.

The Rockets aren't even all that much better than the Rockets as it is. They just had great luck in close games.

Rockets:
SRS: +3.82
Expected W-L: 50-32

Thunder:
SRS: 2.47
Expected W-L: 47-35

But somehow the Rockets get significantly worse with the better player?

lol that's what they are anyways. They are a drive&kick, 3 point spotting and fast break running team.

Westbrook with a lot of good shooters would thrive. And what about his game with D12? The guy turned Kanter into a scoring machine, D12 would get a lot of easy baskets.

Thunder isn't a very good team without KD and Ibaka, specially defensively where there would be no Ariza to cover Harden's mistakes. Thought I think Harden is a better closer than WB maybe those games don't get close to begin with without Russell's TDs/ close to TDs games.

Basically Rockets improve a little, Thunder fall a little.
