Yikes MJ stans.

And are we forgetting that Lakers were number 1 seed in the west before the Lakers before the Gasol trade?

Do you think that lakers squad was making the finals without Pau?

LeBron 09-13

Exactly! There's nothing great about being kicked out in the first round two years running, choking away a 3-1 series lead in the process and having 1 point in the second half of an elimination game 7:facepalm

or being on the receiving end of the largest comeback in nba finals history in your home floor and against your fiercest rivals no less, while Pierce proceeds to tear you to shreds on both ends of the court.
Let's not get into finishing the elimination game 6 with 3-17 shooting and getting beat by 39! Points.

Impressive indeed:applause:

Kobe never missed the Playoffs two years in a row when healthy. Matter of fact, he never missed the Playoffs without being injured.

GOAT of his era.

Only Shaq 2000-02 comes close, but we all know how Kobe delivered in crunch time in 2000, led the Playoffs in Winshares in 2001 and averaged 27 ppg on 51% shooting in the 2002 Finals.

GTFO with this garbage second year Lebron is no way better than peak Kobe. Please don't be an idiot. You're both entitled to your opinions. What can be pointed out though is that 2nd year Lebron averaged 27, 7 and 7 on 47%fg (higher than Kobe in any season in his entire career)

But it's Lebron from 2009-2013 who was absolutely phenomenal in that 5 year stretch with 4 MVP's and 2 FMVPs.

Yeah Lebron 09-13 has a case over Kobe I wouldn't take 09/10 Lebron over Kobe best due to mentally wise he wasn't their yet physically it was his peak but not other attributes he was really lacking 2011 Finals loss might of been best thing for his career to come back from.

"Has a case"???
Omg
It isn't even a discussing. Lebron from 09-13 is ten tiers ahead of what Kobe ever was for just about everyone but Kobe fans or Lebron haters. Unfortunately for you, you'll find that very few people share your opinion that it's close.

2nd year Lebron and Kobe is though, and some people would still take Lebron from 05 than any version of Kobe. THAT is close my friend.

Larry Bird 83-84 - 87-88

27.3ppg 9.8rpg 6.8apg 1.8spg 0.9bpg 3.1topg .512%fg .400%3pt .899%ft

Championship: 84, 86
FMVP: 84, 86

MVP: 84, 85, 86, 3rd in 87, 2nd in 88

First Team All NBA: 84, 85, 86, 87, 88

He led the league in +/- each of his MVP seasons and was 2nd in 87 and 3rd in 88.

Four NBA Finals appearances in a row and ECF in 88.

Bill Russell from 60/61 to 64/65 had 4 MVPs and 5 titles, and probably would have had 4 or 5 FMVPs.

Also keep in mind this was while Wilt and Oscar will putting up stats nobody had ever put up before (or since).
