So the Cavs practically put a brand new team together with stars that never played together, with a brand new coach that's never coached a NBA game in his life, and you expect them to win the title straight out? First year? Get real.

Well they basically have a bye to the finals... so yes?

The Heat SHOULD have in 2011 I think you can agree. And yet?

They only have to win one tough series. They have a free pass to the Finals.

Kyrie & Love are still playoff virgins... the big 3 on those Celtics were all 30+ when they won a ring. Tons more experience.

"We have the talent, we've had the process so far, but we still have some time left. We won't take those days for granted."

"We've been playing some really good ball. We still make some young-team mistakes and hopefully we can get past those pretty soon."

It sounds to me like Bran believes he can win the title this year...he's just wording it that way because he's learned from "NOT 5! NOT 6! NOT 7!"

Doc Rivers had been an NBA coach for eight years before 2008.

Point stands. Team had no experience together.

Lebron alone in the last 4 seasons has played more Playoff games than any starter on that Boston squad. then add in guys like JR, Mike Miller, Perkins, that have more than enough experience.

Point stands. Team had no experience together, no proven champions on that squad, don't think any of them even made the Finals

your point absolutely gets destroyed. i expected heat to win in 2011 because wade and lebron were playoff veterans by then. it is way easier to adjust if you are experienced. 1 guy out of your best 3 having playoff experience wouldn't mean shit other wise teenagers wouldn't do stupid shit even after their parents warn against doing those things from experience.

If you accept that Curry is alpha, then Lebron is beta for what he said at the beginning of the season.

Thanks for the reminder but we already know that fatigue will be a factor earlier with LeBron than previous postseasons.
