Why is it that JR Smith is getting so much praise now in Cleveland when in 2012-13 with the Knicks, he was actually a much better player overall.

Sure, I get that he's declined in the past one and a half seasons with the Knicks, but there were also a lot of personnel changes which contributed to it.

It's just because he's no longer causing trouble. Fines, shoes laces, naked pictures of girls, clubs, etc.

I dont think anyone claimed that he is physically better than he was in 2013.
