East is actually being very underrated lately.
If we look at it objectively its arguably stronger than the West this year if we look at the playoff teams only

Pretty sad that okc lost when Miami had played more games than okc to reach the finals.
Miami lost both the times it took them lesser games than the team from west to reach the finals.

Boston gave Miami a much harder time than the Thunder did.
But that's because Boston is a legit franchise, and OKC is horseshit

But I'd suggest Toronto vs. Washington. WAS has a good chance at pulling off the "upset".

it has already been proven why okc lost the 2012 finals.
basically all comes back to miami raping okc whenever perkins was in the game, but getting beat whenever he sat.
brooks didn't pull the plug quickly on playing perk like he should have and okc lost in 5

going into the playoffs last year no one gave a shit about lebron or the heat until they reached the finals and actually had competition worth giving a shit about.
hawks currently don't look to be worth giving a shit about, if you're as loaded as cleveland and at 100% health

It's amazing how little respect the Hawks get. Second best record in the league, and people act like they don't even exist.
I'm seriously considering betting on them to win the championship, you almost have to given the odds they are getting. 12-1 odds for a healthy #1 seed ...

Not 1 game of the Leastern conference's first round is worth watching.
Neither is second round Atlanta vs Toronto/Wizards.
Cavs vs Bulls is worth the watch of Lebron owning the Bulls for the million time.
Hawks vs Cavs is gonna be the best series these playoffs though, most legit team Lebron has ever faced in the Least.

To some degree, yes. The bigger problem with the East is that there aren't any superstars anywhere remotely close to Lebron's level. The West has Curry, Harden, Davis, CP3, Durant, etc etc. WTF does the East have?

Lebron isn't the issue, generally his teams have been fun to watch.
The problem in the east is the lack of real marquee names. The east sucked in the early 2000s, but at least you could watch the McGradys, Iversons, Carters etc, who the **** do we have now to watch in the east outside of Lebron and Kyrie?
3 of the best 5 def. rating teams in the NBA are from the East...
3 of the best 5 off. rating teams in the NBA are from the East...
All 3 of who did that despite battling injuries this season... but will be better/fine in playoffs....
Out of the 8 playoff teams in the WEST 5 are great defensively.
Out of the 8 playoff teams in the EAST 6 are great defensively.
Atlanta
Chicago
Toronto
Washington
Will be extremly tough teams to beat for Cleveland...
Atlanta is arguably the best team in the NBA, have the 2nd best record in the NBA right now and play amazing defense....
Toronto had the best record in the NBA before Derozan etc. got hurt, they are fine now...
Chicago who played without Rose/Noah this season will be tough, with Rose/Noah they fight for the best record in the NBA and are arguably the best defensive team...
Washington is amazing & they play great defense....
EAST is only weak in the regular season when you compared the 15 vs 15 teams with WEST......
In the playoffs, that is weeded out and it is a whole different ballpark of intensity.... except for the 1st rounds, the East playoffs will be just as and/or even more competitive in the Playoffs.... we shall see...
Last but not least, Lebron is on a BAD/UNEXPERIENCED TEAM........ that puny record they have is only because of his presence, most of those guys & ALL those stars there (Love/Kyrie) have never even seen the playoffs and could have probably missed the playoffs again if Lebron wasnt around, in the freakin EAST......
It will be very rough for Lebron/Cavs.....
