pretty amazing.
not to mention, the champion spurs only finished sixth in their conference. if some key player had gotten injured for the year, it's possible they don't even make the playoffs.

First time the EC had neither finalist make the playoffs, so I doubt its ever happened.
Only happened once in the WC. Lakers and someone else back in the 70s

It actually happened back in the West in '05, when the Lakers and Wolves both missed the playoffs
