guys like durant, bird, jordan - these guys had true basketball skill - durant has a pure shot, bird was a genius, and mj could instinctively find the crevice in the defense that allowed the easiest/simplest score possible.

so they didn't rely on HGH or enhancements.

but today's game is just drive-and-kick, rinse-repeat, so no real skill needed - why give a shit about skill when it's not needed?... instead, player's union fought against against hgh testing so they can be all jacked, but with no real skill.. embarassing state of affairs.. :facepalm

MJ was skinny when he first came in the league, but still averaged 28 PPG, then 37 PPG in year 2.

Otoh, Lebron comes in the league and fills out to a far greater extent than Jordan ever did.. And we know he's good friends with ARod..

At the very least, Lebron has access to the latest, cutting edge stuff that MJ never had, and yet Lebron still plays so much worse than MJ did.

For example, here's Lebron at just 30 years old, in his prime, yet he's already just a pedestrian 25 PPG scorer.. Otoh, MJ was a 35 PPG scorer, while getting more assists, less turnovers, all on better efficiency, with more rings and the most FMVPs of any player ever.

Bron has the best, cutting edge stuff, yet MJ still played so much better.

Despite not having Lebron's cutting edge enhancements, MJ's numbers thru the 30 years old (Lebron's current age) are vastly superior:

MJ carried a 25% higher scoring burden in the playoffs (35 PPG to Lebron's 28 PPG) and a 50% higher scoring burden in the Finals (36 PPG to 24 PPG), while averaging more assists, less turnovers, all on better efficiency.

Lebron's HGH gave him zero first step or vertical hops compared to Jordan:

I don't really understand what anyone is talking about on this thread but i just wanted to say

I think it's hilarious that people have been using that jordan gif of one of his most spectacular dunks of all time alongside that lebron gif of bricking a layup

Nobody seems to question it :hammerhead:

I shall prove that Shaq is a better ball handler than Jason Kidd by finding a video of Kidd dribbling off his foot, and Shaq going coast to coast.

the too short, need more detail version:

Anyone who plays basketball knows that the impact of a first step is as much about the setup as it is about the actual burst. The way it will appear on film is also greatly dependent on the actions of the defender, position on the court, game situation, etc. Not all first steps look the same, even if the burst itself was equal, which it's not.

Whereas Jordan's setup generally misdirects the defender, Lebron's setup often serves the purpose of getting the defender off balance so Lebron can take advantage of his strength advantage. It would seem that the first method is superior and requires superior skill. That is debatable. However Lebron's method is effective, no doubt -- he often takes a defender to the rim with him, which changes the dynamic of help defense, and so Lebron doesn't have to rely as much on contorting and slicing through help the way MJ did.

Your boy was the one repeatedly flying to Germany for multiple illegal dope jobs, not LeBron.

Try reading up on the procedure before making retarded posts, you fcuking idiot.

There's a big fcuking difference between Lebron taking human growth hormones to give himself a physical advantage over his opponents and Kobe having a powerful anti-inflammatory (TAKEN FROM HIS OWN BODY) injected (by a qualified doctor ) into his knees to reduce swelling and pain due to years of professional basketball. Not to mention, there is nothing illegal about the procedure.

Think before posting, you drooling ****.

I am acquainted to Richard A. Bertwright , he worked as a lawyer for the NBAPA during the early 90's to mid 90's and he said it was well known that most players and especially MJ was on HGH. There were pushes from outisde of the NBA to have doping tested during this period and MJ among other had the NBAPA stop it.

Damn, this brah is steaming

But the difference is we have no idea if James is taking or not, but we do know that Dopebe did go to Germany multiple times for multiple procedures.

He went from putting up numbers like he was 27yrs old again.... to his body breaking down over and over. I'm sure it's just mere coincidence that the procedures and breakdowns were so close together.
