He could've opted in and waited for the salary cap boost.

He could've opted in and waited for the salary cap boost.

He can still sign a one year contract for $12-13M with a player option. Then he has $26M guaranteed instead of $7.5M, in case he suffers a career-threatening injury in the next 12 months.

He's their best player. Or do you want him on Sacramento or some shit?

I don't want him, and I don't think he is worth the max

He's about 1000x better than your current PGs and if Bledsoe is getting 14MM/5 years Dragic should be getting double that

He has miami by the balls, what are they going to do. Let go of a borderline all star pg after they traded for him a few months back?
also, how much of an advantage do miami have salary wise? can they offer him more money?

miami will pay and he will stay

Come to the Lakers at $15mil/yr!

Dragic
Kobe
Dekker (for clarkson)
Randle
Towns/WCS

And we're back in business. Move over Mitch, I got this!

Dragic is a rising player. Heat want to shore up that 1 spot.

Whiteside- Rising
Bosh - Peak
Deng - Declining
Wade - Declining
Dragic - Rising

I think you have a good balance of age here in the starting 5. If they want to upgrade the 3 spot with a rising/peak player it would make the Heat even more dangerous.

We will hopefully have a pick and we also have some quality young players to shore up the depth.

All of the players are saying the right things but the truth is if Dragic doesn't feel good about the coaching and chemistry he may want to start new somewhere else but this seems to be a great fit going forward. Especially with some all-star bigs in place.

Should wait until after they're eliminated.

Dragic should really be on a team where he can be the first option, not third. Boston would be smart destination

Dragic is not a 1st option player.

He'll sign with the Knicks.

dragic is so overrated. dude is mediocre.

lol @ the guy calling him the best player on the heat. Ever heard of Wade and Bosh? Or Deng and Whiteside? Dragic shouldnt be anything more than a 4th option.

If Dragic demands more than 10 mill.. let him walk.

Dragic is not a 1st option player.
He seemed to do pretty well as the main option on the suns last year.

Yeah, Miami is ass deep in good PGs and it's not like they gave up two future number one picks for him. Sure, let him walk. Makes perfect sense.
