A dominant big man these days.

Golden state are in posession of the goat three point shooter and they dont have a dominant big man. Yet they are ruling the super competitive west.

Hawks dont have a dominant big man either. But are in posession of kyle korver (who in my opinion is the second best three point shooter in the league. And they are 1st seed of the east

So the top 2 three point shooters have the top two records. Yet neither team has a DPOY type big man on their team.

They don't have a dominant big man but they have 2 all-star big man which I'm sure makes up for it.

Horford isn't a bad defender at all

GS prolly has the 2 best defenders in the game one being the best rim protector and the other being the most versatile defender. Theyre solid passers too lets stop pretending Golden States shooting and offense is a bigger deal than their defense

al horford is a reliable low post option and solid defender, I feel he gets underrated at times

Give me a defensive big. They are harder to come by.

Having an elite three point shooter kind of negates the effect of a big man because if you can score outside whats a big going to do. Plus these days players are alot better at drawing fouls especially from the opposing center.

Horford and Millsap are both good defenders. Not elite players but their both allstars.

"Re: is an elite 3 point player more important than..."

Im going to say yes to the original question. In this era an elite 3 point shooter is key.

I'm taking Anthony Davis over Stephen Curry.

Davis hasn't reached his peak yet, so let's say you could have Shaq in his prime or Curry & Klay. Who do you take?

:biggums: :facepalm

I'll try to overlook that ridiculous statement...

Hawks got Horford and Millsap, two all-star bigmen.

Warriors got Bogut, who's a DPOY-level big (yea, don't you know of him?) and Green, who's now playing at the 4 very well (Lee was an all-star-level 4 and still serviceable).

Golden State isn't the ordinary 3pt shooting team, they have the #1 defense in the NBA.
