agreed though. Parsons got overrated. Its partly because of the high octane offense / low expectations on defense system the Rockets had last couple seasons. it brought out the best in Parson. now he's in a system where he has to be more complete player and his flat shot and average defense will be more noticeable. Good player but got overrated

So whenever Ariza is hitting on offense, its just icing on the cake.

Parsons was 5-15 and 0-4 from deep. I'm sure nerves and the emotions of playing vs the Rockets again was a factor, but he did nothing.

The only starting small forwards that Parsons is better than are Dunleavy and Singler.Now that singler comes off the bench he is the 2nd worst starting sf in the league

Parsons's appeal was always that he was a decent player playing for no money. It blinded a lot of people to his true level of play which was "aight" at best. Ariza has been playing a more "winning" brand of basketball than Parsons for the entirety of Parsons's NBA career.
