That was Thompson's fault. Crowder moved and he's still trying to awkwardly set the screen like a dumbass

If you just look at stats (espn) they say lebron had a good game. I disagree. Sure he had some good passes but he did not have a good first game of the series. Kyrie won that game along with Thompson and Love owning the boards. Of course we have Lebron on a higher standard.

SO MUCH EXCUSE
excellent defense, obviously a off the thigh pass between his defenders legs. well played lebron but don't try that one again with that stifling D being played! D - (HOLDS AN ACTUAL FENCE TO INDICATE HOW GREAT THAT D WAS)

I don't think his stats look good. They look like a bad game by him. He played below average, but I dunno if he played poorly. He didn't have to do shit because Kyrie was killing.

But yet get's talked about more than anyone. I'd have to disagree, he's by far the most entertaining because so many people want to see him fail and always has been since he went to Miami.

He's the best player in the league but I've always thought his ball handling skills are overrated.

Disagree that LeBron had a poor game. He was passing the ball very well out of the post all game long, which led to ball swings and wide open looks or easy baskets at the rim and his defensive intensity helped set the tone after the team had a lackadaisical start.

LeBron played well, I thought.

Kyrie was off the charts, but that doesn't mean LeBron didn't do his part. They play off of each other extremely well, so I think it's pretty dumb to prop up one and not the other. Their respective play is always going to be linked together, good or bad.

The same thing goes on nights when Kyrie maybe doesn't shoot quite as well, but puts up 18/7 within the flow of the offense. He's still doing his job and just his presence on the court opens things up for LeBron. Today, Kyrie really had it going, so there was no need for LeBron to be too aggressive in trying to score. It wasn't necessary.

as he gets older and older, his game gets more rigid - soon, he'll barely be making any moves at all - it'll just be like, stand-still jumpshot, one dribble pullup (with no faints or fakes), or drive right.. that will be his entire repertoire.. oh, and the step back jumpshot...

he might be able to average 23 PPG like that all the way until he's 33 years old.. and he'll still be goat passer with his standard 6 APG playoff average.. :applause:

As he gets older, he's going to be spending more and more time in the post. That's pretty obvious. I couldn't disagree more with your analysis.

Even as he ages, he's going to be as big, as strong, but quicker with better balance, FAR better passing and more range than most 4s. We've already started to see this progression.

He always has trouble with that behind the back dribble. His ball handling skills are good for his size but whenever he does the behind the back dribble, it always looks awkward.

This is probably one of the few times that behind that behind back dribble lead to something good but he fell down at the end.

So far, Lebron posts up 8.8% of the time, good for 140th in the league.

He only gets 0.81 PPP on the post, good for 124th.

And this disputes my analysis of the way his game is trending and will progress... how, exactly? I didn't say he's going to turn into Al Jefferson overnight. I said, as he gets older, he'll begin playing closer and closer to the basket. And, his career has proven that to be the case.

He basically played the 4 his last couple seasons in Miami and he was back to being a 3 most of this season because the Cavs have a bigger lineup and a perfect compliment at the 4 in Love. For those reasons and to preserve his body for the playoffs, his time spent in the post probably dropped a little.

But, you don't see how a guy's game is trending by comparing him to the rest of the league. You see it by comparing it to the way he played earlier in his career.

You take LeBron of 2005-10 and compare it to the last few years and he you'll see he spends far more time in the post.

Not only that, but you can see that -- as the stakes grow higher -- he heads down there more often. He played with his back to the basket more today against the Celtics than he had in any game all season. Expect that to continue as the playoffs roll along.

No sense in his body taking a beating in the regular season in games that, in the grand scheme, mean very little.

Strawman alert. Where in my reply did I say that LeBron is an "elite poster"? :oldlol:

You're such an idiot. Is scoring the only thing that matters when you get the ball in the post? He does most of his damage with his passing from the post. It doesn't have to result in an assist for him. He finds the open man and breaks the defense down.

he was only behind melo among wing players in 2013-14. he had a slightly better PPP than melo but melo took a few more shots so i put melo ahead of him. LeBron has played a lot at 3 this year instead of playing PF.
it says a lot that he can adapt however he wants.

8 for 18 with 20 points and 5 turnovers is a good game for lebron fans these days?

and dont tell me "yeah but he got 6 rebounds"

lebrons 6 foot 9, 270 pounds and is still more athletic and stronger than most power forwards/centers

6 rebounds is good for someone like kobe whos 6-5, 205 pounds

for lebron its nearly half the amount he should end up with

the +2 assist to turnover ratio was about the only thing he did right
