Never witnessed any of my favorite teams win. Georgia Tech basketball was the closest in 2004. I was too young to fully be able to watch when the Braves won in 95.

Started watching the NBA when I lived in MD (dad was stationed there). Was a Laker fan early on, didn't get to see many games at first, but by the time I really got into the NBA, I noticed this guy in Chicago tearing the league up. This was 1988. Been a Bulls fan ever since.

Like I said, tho, still like the Lakers. Even cheered for them when Shaq and Kobe were winning. Bulls are still my favorites, but still got love for LA.

Loved Orlando, then Houston cause of TMac. Still pulled for Atlanta though. Once he left I switched completely to the Hawks.

Too young to remember the first chip in the three peat, but I remember watching #2 and #3 with my dad. And then I enjoyed every second of the back to back wins in 09 and 10 :D

Witnessed all 5 Spurs championships. My favorites were 2005, my first year out of HS, when Spurs beat the defending champ Pistons and #1 seeded Phx Suns with MVP Nash, and 2014 when Spurs got revenge on the Heatles.

This is an interesting question, because I would imagine that in this era there are more band wagon fans, and many people will just root for the top teams.

With the internet they just gravitate towards the top team, rather than only being exposed to the home team.
