The higher in the red you go the less people neg you. I guess this is reverse psychology going cause people figure that if you are in the red you are gunning for it so they don't wanna fuel the fire. Good shit though cause I used to get mad neg's when I was neutral rep and I havn't changed my posting style and I get less and less negs. Most of my negs been from the 'lebron family' and most of those cats been banned now so maybe that's it. Guys who aren't trying to please everyone with every post they make will find themselves getting negged.

Guys with infinite alts with high rep will destroy your rep if they don't like you.


Rep system is flawed. I find Warriorsfan to be a good poster. I'm green and pissed plenty of posters off, but have withstood negs because of certain posters with rep power who like me.

Thing is - you're probably getting negged by the same person/people, thus when they neg you then they can't neg you for a while so - your rep goes up and then eventually they can neg you again - you go back down....rinse & repeat

truth about rep has always been the establishment needs you in green to power trip on you. you have to care, and usually have at least 1 green for them to control you.

so when they see somebody with a huge red stack they know they don't give a fukk, and don't bother neg'ing. but u know they're sitting there giggling like a school girl if you got 2-3 greens and their neg hits you up into reds.

so basically they don't really want to get you to max negs, really at around 1 green stack is ideal for them to trip.

The green rep bars are pretty meaningless but as a general rule I've found that posters with multiple red bars are either trolls or total idiots.

Tha majority of all active posters here who negged great posters like me over and over are obvious alts. They have always negged me because I said some REAL shit or don't agree with what they like or said. The main people who neggs me are bron stans, jaqueer and his butt buddies. That they do. The single post I made in this thread has been repped or negged something like 10 times already :oldlol:. If there weren't plenty of people on this site interested in what i have to say i'd probably have stopped bothering by now. But this site is actually rather representative of the real world: the majority band together in moral condemnation, while the few are willing to exchange ideas and discuss things disinterestedly, without constant recourse to petty moral considerations and prejudices. I spend my time seeking out the latter kind of person, and pouring contempt on the former (whenever they can't be avoided).

What i have to say is honest, and honesty offends the more delicate instincts of human beings, so people who feel rather than think about things think i'm the anti-christ or something. My ideas are 'evil' and 'dangerous' according many of the anonymous denunciations i get, but you have to know you're doing something right when people get so upset over mere factual observations. All progress, moral and intellectual, has come from individuals who were denounced as evil imbeciles in their time; so when honestly analysing things strikes such a chord, you know you must be nearing the nub of the matter.

But let's be honest, leftist sensibilities are easily offended :lol, and when they call me conservative or right-wing, i say 'no, that's what you are, defending your conferred privileges and upholding the status-quo.' How it offends them to hear that a free-market economy is the most radical thing there is, and that the good arguments regarding its restraint are usually conservative ones (i.e. because the market changes things so quickly it is often destructive to traditions, causes values and morals to alter rapidly, dilutes culture, and encourages vulgarity, and so on).

It was the letting loose of the market under democracy (as it had been constrained by aristocracies in the past, as all aristocracies must value tradition) that allowed all these liberal ideas to flourish, and yet now liberals want to get rid of the thing that spawned all their political views and prejudices. Effectively, they want to stop 'progress' at a point of their choosing so they can fix the world and keep it as they like it (a conservative impulse). We've had a true inversion of values: for it now seems that conservatives have become the new rebels, and liberals, the new establishment, and in that case, how can conservatives be conservative? Political language in the US is just a ****ing mess; no wonder people can't make sense of things.
