thoughts?

When they put the camera on him, he looked in a lot of stress when he tried to get up and walk.

We could be looking at an acl or mcl here. Unless it was a really bad cork to that part of his leg.

Hopefully it's nothing serious and he'll come back soon.

we need him against the Cavs.

not rose bad, but his unique skill set could of really hurt the cavs and his 4th quarter play.

I hope not, I really like his game, not to mention his attitude. He feels like the kind of guy who's primed to sink some big shots in a big series.

will still beat the cavs, but we definitely needed niko to go all the way

Niko would be the wildcard against the Cavs IMO

Not having him I don't feel at all confident. He's the one guy who provides something unique against the Cavs team

Agreed. Without Niko and the Bulls lose that X factor. Rose and Niko would need to play out of their mind to beat them since Jimmy will be trying to stop Lebron. This sucks. Hopefully its just a couple games and they can rest him.

I fear the worse.

Whenever I see a reaction like that from a player, it usually isn't good.

Niko was desperate to try and walk but couldn't

Mirotic does scare me a little. He and Dunlevy are basically the only bigs Chicago has in their rotation that can provide proper spacing for their offense. It's not so much that I think Mirotic would go off against us. We have versatile defenders who can matchup with him. The bigger issue is how it affects the way their offense can move the ball around and open up driving lanes.

It would be a pretty big loss from that standpoint.

I hope he recovers quickly. I want the Bulls at full strength.

I disagree. I didn't see anything on the replay that screamed to me "playoff ending injury." Seemed like more of a bad bruise situation than a ligament or bone thing.

Yes I did.

I've seen guys walking and still have an ACL/MCL injury.

I am encouraged by that news though and hopefully it's nothing.

It was the grimace and the reaction when he couldn't stand up.

He looked devastated and put his head in his hand.

I bet he was really pissed about the situation. His face was red from the almost fight and probably has a super bruised knee. We should know by the morning.

Give it time, wait for an official report. I'm prone to bad contact with my knees and while I've been unable to walk on it/put pressure on the knee immediately, it usually clears up with time. No sense in speculating.

@KCJHoop: Mirotic is walking under own power. Said he's going to get treatment.

The dreaded wait.

So much hinges on that knee. Please just be a bruise or something. Anything but a structural injury.

Bulls are officially calling Mirotic's injury a left quad strain. Will be re-evaluated Tuesday morning. He was able to stand on his own in the locker room but limped in pain.

Niko hasn't been ruled out of a concussion either after his shot to the head by Zaza.
Quad Strains are tricky. Good thing Bulls don't have to fly. He can get as much treatment as possible over the next several days.

I'll take a quad strain at this point.

Anything structurally would of been a disaster. I don't mind him missing a few games as long as he's back for the Cavs.

I saw that. His reaction makes it look real bad... it doesn't really matter if he misses a week right now hopefully he can play the next series.

It's hard to tell without an MRI. I walked off the court and drove home when I tore my ACL thinking it was a sprain
