Klay Thompson is more valuable to this team than Steph, IMO.

Fuccing hilarious how they try to give Steph all of the credit. What was he doing standing with Klay tonight for the post game interview? Klay was carrying this team all night while Curry was on the bench chewing on his mouthpiece.

Just want the award to be given to the player that is the most deserving, which is Harden.

If Curry wins it, it will be a fuccing travesty. Worse than Nash's. Rose's. Whoever. Plain and simple.

Durant > Curry, even if Curry takes a FMVP. Accolades aren't all that makes up greatness and Durant (if he comes back fine from the injury) is a better player than Curry. Durant/LeBron are in a tier of their own, Davis is the closest player to joining that tier.

How many teams could afford to have the "MVP" go scoreless in the last 17 minutes of a competitive playoff game, going 0/7 with 2 assists and a rebound in that span, and still end up winning by double digits? I'm not even sure the 05/06 Suns or 2011 Bulls could do that

Disclaimer for my earlier post: Curry will be a deserving MVP candidate if he gets it, I'm not a fan of Harden nor do I think he deserves it more, I just think that it's premature to compare a single season MVP winner to the player who will be taking the title of 'best in the game' from LeBron as early as next season.

Warrior fans have sometimes been obnoxious of late but I'm not trying to hate on you guys or your star player.

Yes, a player who has lead the league in +/- for the past two years and this year and has scored a higher +/- than anyone in the history of the game is not the most valuable player on his team

First, RAPM isn't available for every season, BPM is an unreliable stat (though you're right that Curry is leading in RAPM this season iirc). Second, LeBron has posted higher RAPM years than what Curry is currently posting (9ish).

He's the MVP but statistically it's not a historically significant impact.

The top 3 +/- in the league is all warriors. Cause they have the highest +/- as a team. That's how it works.

Claiming he's MVP based on +/- is just stating as a team, they outscore their opponents by a lot. It has very little to do with individual performance.

Curry MVP. Curry sitting the 4th is probably a part of why the team has gotten so good. The more selfless the best player is then the better the team can become. Durant chucking all game long doesn't necessarily help the team. Golden State would be screwed without Curry. Harden, Rose, Westbrook can't replace what Curry does for that team. They're not close to the shooter and distributor that he is for his TEAM. Whose the least selfish out of those 4? Curry. Obvious. Who won? Golden State.

Harden's MVP. People say Warriors wouldn't be as good without Curry. No shit. Take Harden off the Rockets and they don't make the playoffs. This dude has carried a team like few before him have. That right there is the definition of MVP.
I don't give a shit how many wins Curry's team has, it's stacked. Harden has worked with a pile of dog shit all season and gotten them to the 2nd seed. That to me screams most valuable player and I fail to see how that can be disputed.

Honeymoon period for Curry being fan favorite is coming to an end, but make no mistake, he is the MVP this year and best shooter in history and makes the Warriors offense much better even if he's not hitting because of the attention he gets off the ball

On a side note he is cocky as hell anyone get a gif of his little headbob last night? But he can back it up

Exactly, brother.

Harden's run is similar to KD's last season, though not as impressive. But still MVP worthy.

Giving Steph the MVP this year is like giving the MVP to T.Parker last year. Seriously.

im not a harden fan at all but the roster he has right now isnt the same roster he has most of the season.

He had one of the more unstable rosters during the season for any playoff team, he dealt with a bunch of injuries and mid season roster additions. The only consistent starter that played all 82 games was trevor ariza.

The standard he is getting held to is super ridiculous. He played well in the first half - and ended it with a very big momentum shot for them. He is getting roasted for missing a few shots in the 4th? The attention he draws is what allows that offense to be run. Klay stepped up and he should. If he is a true second option it can't always be Curry...you need your team to step up in the playoffs.

The Pelicans played their best game:
-Quicy Pointdexter making Jordanesque layups
-Norris Cole playing like Mark Price
-EGordo going Clipper Gordo.

The only sustainable thing they did was have AD beasting.

Harrison Barnes can go to another NBA team and instantly become a solid NBA player. Warriors don't even use him in the offense enough.

can say this about alot of MVP type players on playoff teams facing weaker opponents. for instance, when the Magic were "lead to the Finals by Dwight Howard", they were able to win a playoff game with Dwight Howard not playing at all (also in the first round). What does that say? says the Magic were a great team, Warriors too. Rockets had a balanced game against Mavs too.
