Steph Curry is a top 3 cocky player in the league.
I generally like him. He's cocky but its not towards his opponent, he's not disrespecting them. Its no worse than Harden or Westbrook. Some of the plays he makes, he has the right to be even cockier but he seems to be a great teammate, and unstoppable scorer and a willing passer. His teammates love him. What's not to like? Some people are just haters in general....Can't do anything about him.

He had such a terrific season, seems like he thought he could keep hot dogging it in the playoffs and everything would still be the same.
Hes gonna have to tone down the globetrotter act and play more seriously in the playoffs if they dont wanna **** up and get bounced early. I think after last night he probably realized that. Id expect his attitude to be different the rest of the way.

I love steph curry. He might be the most talented player in the league offensively
I hope the warriors win the title
But hes not mvp by reality. Just by the bogus league criteria of the best player out of the top few teams in the nba thing. Sure
But anthony davis is a more valuable player to his team and contributes more to wins. Same with harden
The warriors are just stacked 12 deep. Sometimes they make it look easy without him having a real impact
Its arguable that klay thompson can be the mvp for gstate on any given night
Theres around 7 or 8 guys on that team that could be allstars in their own situation
This team is built like an 80s contender
Derrick rose could step in and claim another bogus mvp with that kind of help

He'll do some cocky thing that's like: "hmm idk about that..." and then he does something crazy and all you can do is laugh.
I do almost want to see them lose (I mean I def. do if they play the Spurs) just to see how that team in particular is going to handle it.

Little ass dude with a little ass frame running around all game long trying to get a jump shot off. WAIT! He's not hitting his shot anymore? Doesn't matter! Pass the ball and go away.
WARRIORS WIN!
Dude... I'm so used to Durant or Westbrook carrying the load it makes me SICK when I see an actual good team with ball movement and unselfish play. Guys actually finishing around the rim and hitting open shots.... its disgusting
Hero ball is the only reason this sport is popular and now all of a sudden you have dudes praising teams like Warriors, Spurs, and Cavs.
:facepalm
Durant/Westbrook hero ball was the most exciting thing left in the sport, but injuries took it all away...
The only hero left is Irving. So I'll stan him the rest of the playoffs.

And let me say this: If he wins MVP, and they win a title and he's maybe FMVP then he can really back it up and his antics will be a little less annoying. I think part of my issue is that the Warriors sort of act like they've won something already.

First of all the Warriors (this team) has already lost multiple times in the playoffs and experienced defeat. That experience is helping the team now.
And how do the Warriors act like they've won something already? And what are Curry's "antics"?
This is the thing Warriors detractors want it both ways, they want to have their cake and eat it too.

They've never lost as the clear favorites. There's a massive difference between losing when you have no shot at the title, and losing when you're supposed to win it.
You cannot sit there and type like the Warriors aren't a cocky team. You cannot ignore Curry's little dances, the showboating he does. You cannot tell me Draymond Green isn't a troll.
Let me put it this way: if you saw this type of team at the park, you'd say "boy they sure do think highly of themselves. We sure are going to like to shut them up aren't we?"
It's not a detraction to say they had best be sure they back it all up I don't think. And I don't think it's a stretch to say it'll be real interesting to see how this team in particular will handle loss if it comes to that.

Comfortably leading their series vs Pelicans 2-0. He's getting paid millions for what he loves to do. Just broke his own record of 3pm in a season. Interesting to read through all these responses from last April. I wonder if I'd feel differently about Curry and the Warriors if my Pistons were still competing for a championship. I assume (perhaps incorrectly) that a lot of these feelings must be coming from folks who just don't like seeing the Warriors threaten their own team's success.
As a dude with no illusion of Pistons success coming anytime soon, it's been pretty incredible to watch Curry and the Warriors dominate. I've never seen anything like it, and they appear to be having fun while doing so. This team will be talked about for a long time, and rightfully so.

I will say this...for all his shooting/scoring ability...he's not a ballhog. You almost feel like he could shoot MORE if he wanted to and it would still be ok but you can tell he likes getting his teammates involved and he doesn't have an on court ego issue.
In the fourth quarter against Miami when Klay was hot, he was purposely looking to keep getting him the ball.
He seems like a great teammate.

Curry has limited impact.
:lol

I like Curry but stans like Warriorfan is even worse than Lebron stans. Curry doesn't even have a FMVP yet and these stans are comparing him to MJ.
Stop comparing players to MJ, they are not as good and won't be. Curry needs to up the defense. If he could make All-D 3rd team then I'd respect him a lot more.

I can see how he has haters. For one I can't stand seeing him chew his mouth guard. It's just so disgusting, and then hanging from his mouth. It ruined the Finals for me.
He's not humbled. That's fine, but Lebron had a lot if haters just for dancing around, so can expect some to dislike him for that.
Then there are the people who hate how soft the rules have gotten, how the league is being ruined because of the constant 3s and less basketball being played. He's benefiting the most from those rules. But might not be as complete basketball player as others.
And then he has a lot of bandwagon fans. Those fans ruin it for others so they want to see him fail. Those bandwagoners are always associating themselves with the top players, and live through him, and feel like calling other s losers for not associating themselves with team curry. It's that easy for such fans, all they do is associate themselves with the flavor of the month. And that makes them feel like winners in life.
