Guy was publicly intoxicated, and instead of being fined or detained, the cops were giving him a ride home(hence why he wasn't handcuffed or for that matter, frisked)

Then the drunk guy pulls out his gun. No clue why, but it looks like he was trying to get rid of it. He probably was so drunk he thought he could have. But once he got dropped off at his house, I doubt they would have frisked him.

Different occupations attract different types of people. Only certain types of people are intrigued by careers in the law enforcement field. Almost all of these people absolutely love the feeling of having complete power and control. Nothing satisfies them more than being powerful and having a presence of power over an inferior person.

The result is a disgustingly corrupt nationwide police force. I do not consider them police officers, I consider them pigs. 95% of them will unfairly ruin a persons life for an unjustifiable reason and then put their heads on their pillows when they go to sleep and tell themselves that they are the good guys.

Why? Because almost everyone in america has a phone that is able to record videos and capture any instance of police brutality as it occurs. It's also become pretty popular to post it on social media to try and say "look what I found".

I really don't think there are more bad cops than any other professions/jobs like Professors, Managers, Cashiers, etc. But cops are in an authoritative position where they naturally are more aggressive and controlling.

The same reason why there are so many Arab terrorists.

I think nothing has changed. They're just on video a lot now and can't get away with their corrupt shit as easily as years past.

Look no further than something called the Stanford prison experiments to see what giving a person that type of power does to them.

If they don't start holding officers accountable for their actions at all times then this is what it'll be. People losing their fu*king minds

Spot on, this. Combine it with a high stress job and the fact that most of them are morons to begin with (it's not like you have to go to school for 8 years to become a cop), and you get a bunch of shitheads with guns.

There might be a few good ones out there, but most cops are a**holes.

Even if that is true... bad cashiers and professors don't beat and kill people

That was his point.
