same should apply to the Lakers in the 80's then...therefore, Magic and Kareem have asterisks too.

Bird was always better. This just confirms it.

I have no idea why Lakers fans hate magic.

What a load of shit. The only thing I can think of that is deserving of an asterisk is Bonds' home run record.

Everyone knows the East is a cakewalk in comparison to its counterpart. Can't discredit the dudes successes though.

Pointless article

If LeBron played in the superior West, he would be on a superior Western team

Magic won 5 rings.

Tell me, at what number of Rings is a conference not bad anymore? Does Bron need to win one more for that to happen? 2?

The article simply argues that winning the east is nothing special.

Lebron should only get praise if he wins rings. Nothing else is impressive.

Winning the west on the other hand? Quite impressive (and legacy enhancing)

ring count is regardless if you're taking into account the matchup in getting to the Finals, in which case Magic (and the Lakers of the 80's) are no better than Lebron on the Cavs/Heat now

When they were faced with real competition, Magic won 5/9 and Lebron won 2/5.

When I think of Magic's legacy defining moments, they never came against the West. So the article works with Magic's career as well.

Wow, THANK you OP for that enlightening article. I honestly never noticed the disparity in the conferences before, it's an issue that has apparently gone under the radar for quite some time now. Hopefully that will now open fans eyes to the west being better than the east, and in time we can move onto other topics that are hardly discussed like LeBron's Finals record or how he compares as a player to Kobe.

I don't want this forum to talk about.

I want the national media to talk about it and prominent sport journalists.

One can only hope that these kind of articles can expose the truth.

To bad the articles didn't mention the 50+ win records. Tht would have been perfect.

Still 2/5 with all those free rides.

This just confirms that Kobe > Duncan >>> LeBeta.

You can't go 2/5 having 3 rounds off before the Finals.

Just that media hyping up LeBeta like he's the best thing ever when facts tell the truth.
