View Full Version : What's Rondo's contract worth?

Now that it's known that he can possibly ruin a contending team, are contenders going to shy away from signing him for a lot of money/time?

His contract is worth 12 million in slot machine credits per year with a requirement you pull it for 4 years minimum.

Doesn't matter. He is a cancer to any team he signs with from this point forward. If he isn't catered to or his team sucks he will whine and purposely cause a ruckus. He is trash.

I'm still not sold on him not coming back to Dallas, we have yet to hear from Cuban on this... he's a huge Rondo fan

I doubt he'll be back but I wouldn't be surprised one bit if they made an offer

What. The. ****.

This might be the most tone deaf post I've ever read. He was BANISHED from the team after he intentionally lost a PLAYOFF GAME. Thats treason. You think Cuban is going to try to bring him back?? WOW.

10Mil min...

There is still a market for him and that is why he has a agent to handle the damage control.

I think Rondo is at the wrong here but what was Rick thinking as well? When they brought him to Dallas, they knew Rondo needed control of play calling and freedom to feel the game out. Pretty hard to turn that off in the middle of the season.

Communication is KEY! They pay Rick to coach and communicate with players, I just don't understand when coaches and players throw each other under the bus to the media.

SMH on both of them but I still see a market for Rondo.

Even during his best days in Boston, I never for a moment believed him worthy of a max contract; the last extension he signed, I thought, was right on par and maybe slightly above the maximum a point guard with well-documented shooting issues should be making.

Given the fact that his shooting woes have not improved sufficiently, we're seeing his character issues in their gory glory AND his "me > the team" attitude on full display...he's now more of a risk than he was.

$8-$11 million per year is my range, $11 million being my absolute "hit the road" ceiling. There's just too many unknowns with Rajon to make me want to invest fully.

Please tell me how he lost a game by playing 10 minutes.

In all honesty a franchise like the Knicks are probably dumb enough to throw the max at him.

Especially if they cant get anyone else, in a desperation attempt.

A Point Guard with no range outside of 10 feet, average at best athleticism and a horrible attitude?

Any team that pays more than 5M is making a huge mistake and will regret it

Lakers could throw like 10 million a year, but for 2 years max, kinda like the Jordan Hill contract, yes he's overpriced but it's such a short contract that it doesn't matter.

No way in hell anyone signs him long term with his value so low.

Vet minimum max. I'd rather have a 10-day contract guy than him at this point. Not even trolling.

After thinking further, Rondo gave up on a franchise in the playoffs. He should be banned from the NBA. He just stole millions of dollars.

at what point did he give up? Other than an 8 second call, did he even do anything like give up? I hear this being thrown around but there doesn't seem to be any specific event or indication that he even did anything, just a lot of haters talkin mad sh!t on the once best PG in the league.

What I know is he doesn't show any effort out on the floor and he faked a back injury so he could avoid playing. I know that the Mavs are happy they have less of a distraction on the court now. It's obvious who was in the wrong here. He has been doing what he can do to not make it work is what it looks like.

Yeah. At least Lamar was going through his own personal struggles. Rondo looks to be just screwing the Mavs.
