we can get ANY coach we want, who wouldnt want to win championships and build the Durant-Westbrook dynasty.

with Durant and Westbrook turning 27 next season...and being in " win now" mode...........two things i think we can be certain of.

1.we arent getting a newbie.
2.we arent getting someone who's been out of a job for a while.

Alvin Gentry(the GSW lead assistant) would be my pick..

the guy behind the innovative offense in Golden State. If you want a modern offense, he’s your guy....maybe bring in a defensive specialist as lead assistant.

Thibodeau would play Westbrook,KD 45 mpg...so i dont want him.

Never met a fan base more arrogant than okc despite zero titles.

Is every fan like this?

That's risky as hell. But if it makes Durant happy ...

This....

but I think Ollie doesn't like the job security in the NBA. But a 4 year contract equals to a 6 to 7 year contract in the NCAA

Successful college coaches don't have a very good track record in the NBA.

Alvin Gentry would be awesome with this team. He would be my first choice.
Mike Malone would be good. He would be my second choice.
Kevin Ollie looks likely due to his OKC/KD connection
Billy Donovan and Sam Presti are apparently pretty tight, that gives him a leg up.
Mike D'antoni? IDK but given a lot of talent he can run a team. But where does that leave OKC's big men? They are vital to the future of this team. He might be okay with Ibaka who can shoot the rock pretty well, but Kanter and Adams need minutes too

Vinny Del Negro, I would avoid him, personal preference

And I think Fred Hoiberg just had another open heart surgery, wish him well but I doubt he is seriously considered for a few months at least.

And who knows what coaches get axed this offseason as well.

BlakFrankWhite

if Kerr doesnt win the 'ship.

then we should try to hire him...coz Durant,WB >>>>>> Curry,Thompson,Green

yeah Gentry would be my pick....the brains behind Clippers elite offence in 2013...now the brains behind GSW's innovative offense.

hopefully him on board, would mark the end of iso ball

Exactly.

And that's just the X/O stuff. He is a humble dude who puts team first. At this point, you don't want to fracture that locker room. A low key guy like Gentry who has the respect of almost the entire NBA would be a godsend for this team

Any team in need of a coach should have him on their short list

A good assistant coach doesn't necessarily make a good head coach. Just look at...well...Alvin Gentry, for instance.

Donovan's a terrible choice...but he'll get the job coz he's Presti's buddy. :facepalm

Early fave for OKC job clearly Billy Donovan but word in coaching circles is that Spurs assistant coach Ettore Messina is on Thunder's list

So I will no longer hear them call a game again ever

i guess he was the brains behind that 2010 suns team that overachieved in the western conference too. :biggums: didn't know he was that good of a coach.

Gentry would break NBA scoring records with Westbrook and Durant.

You'd need a good defensive assistant like Walton though. Sorry Golden State.

Messina would be a good choice as well. Has connections with Presti from his Spurs days.

let's see:

-gentry is a great guy but coaching okc requires a bigger name or else westbrick will continue in his monkeyballing ways.

-messina is an excellent choice, but it'll be hard to adapt, look at blatt and that was on a team with lebron, love and kyrie, with the only bitch being waiters.

-thibodeau will destroy the thunder. OKC already has injury problems, thibs don't give a fck about player health (rose, noah, deng, etc). 2nd round and goodbye durant.

- mike malone would do ok i guess

- marc jackson = brooks = donovan = del negro = shit :lol

- coach K is overrated as hell, he'd get exposed in the NBA and he knows it, no chance he EVER coaches in the NBA.

- mike brown wouldn't be a horrible coach for this team. Low IQ dude would fit in perfectly.

and this leaves us with mike dantoni. westbrook would jizz in his pants, this is gonna be chucker central  Imagine westbrook in SSOL, he'd would average 30 shots a night. :lol
